5 things I want to buy…

So I haven’t blogged in a little while and that’s because I’ve not been feeling so well lately but luckily I went to the doctors and I should be feeling much better soon! I have a ton of blog posts to write and I am trying to squish them all out so you all don’t get to bored of me (I hope you already haven’t haha) If you’ve been tagging along on my blog you’ll know I attempted the 30 day photo challenge, sadly I flopped that because I only managed to get to day 19! (Sorry!) However I’m on the look out for other lists/challenges and such to try so if you have any suggestions pass them my way! 🙂

Anyway so I thought I would do a little post about 5 things I want to buy when I have enough money because I am always adding stuff to my mental list in my head! So lets begin…

  1. Running shoes – This is the constant excuse I use for not doing exercise, the lack of proper footwear to do such strenuous activities! I do actually want to get a pair though, running in converse isn’t fun nor comfortable.

  2. BooTea Tea – A ‘teatox’, I’m not usually one for these sort of products as I rarely believe in them however after a good duration reading their website and also looking at other girls results on twitter, I’m going to give it a go just purely because I am trying to be more healthier from this point onward. (Google them if you’ve never heard of them, it’s worth it!)

  3. Soap & Glory™ Thick & Fast Flash Extensions Mascara High Definition Collagen Coat – I was looking for a long time for a new mascara, I like to keep my make up natural but I like my eyes to stand out and I don’t really use liquid eyeliner that much so I like to choose a mascara that gives me lots of definition and ‘oomph’ shall we say.

  4. Ritual Fortune Scrub – I got my first taste of the Ritual products from a magazine a while back (Perhaps GLAMOUR? Can’t remember!) and I tried the Ritual Fortune Scrub, now when I got my sample with the magazine I was surprised it was a full blown big bottle not the tiny little itty bitty samples you usually get so I was excited and hopeful that I liked this product because I had a ton of it in this sample. IT SMELLS LIKE PARADISE! literally, I feel like I’m on holiday in an exotic paradise when I use this! I usually don’t rate shower gels or scrubs because I’m never that impressed but this one is different! If you’ve tried it you’ll agree where I’m coming from and if you haven’t then you can buy it online quite cheap I believe 🙂

  5. Eyebrow threading – Okay so I have something to admit, I shaved off one eyebrow BY ACCIDENT! 😦 You’d think I’d know better, but was totally accidental (I bet you’re all laughing now) So I lost my tweezers and as a student I couldn’t afford to have my eyebrows threaded/waxed again for a while so I quickly used a razor to try and get rid of the bottom hairs and the razor caught the rest of my eyebrow in the process! 😦 (If you weren’t laughing earlier bet you are now) So for a while I’ve been using an eyebrow pencil and you can’t see that it was shaved off viciously but now they’re kinda grown back (HOORAY!!!) so soon I shall pay for my eyebrows to be threaded 🙂

That’s my 5 things I need to buy when I have the money, I hope you enjoyed it! Comment/like/subscribe/Tweet if you like lovelies! 🙂

Soap & Glory Super Sit Tight Intense XS Body Firming Serum Review

Before I went on holiday I thought I would give the Soap & Glory Super Sit Tight Intense XS Special Super Strength Body Firming Serum because I had read a lot of reviews in magazines and online about how excellent it was and I thought I would give it a shot!

I do like Soap & Glory products although I do not buy them a lot I have tried quite a few things in their range and after reading that this body firming serum works I thought it was a good option for a quick go to before I went abroad! Well firstly the price is a little pricey (roughly £16.50 which was hard to part with!) in my opinion but I would say it was worth it overall, the bottle has roller balls on the top so you can roll it over your body and the serum glides on perfectly smooth & wonderful (Sometimes it’s a bit cold!) but the real crazy amazing thing is this serum HEATS UP! after you’ve put it on which is both tingly and strange haha!

Overall I believe the serum did make a difference in my opinion to my body, legs, thighs and butt – but everybody is different so I’d recommend giving it a go anyway! 🙂

Thanks for reading guys! Let me know if you’ve tried it/going to try it by commenting or tweeting me 🙂

Saturday Blogger Interviews – Tara Joy

Name: Tara Joy

Location: Florida

Age: 19

What sort of things do you blog about most: I mostly blog about product reviews, outfit posts, and some personal stuff here and there. It’s a big combination of anything and everything I feel like talking about.
Name three words to describe your blog: Relaxed, chatty, and of course, bow-filled.
When did you first start blogging: I first started blogging in May of 2012.
Why did you begin to blog: I started blogging because I needed someone to chat with about clothes, makeup, and skincare. I was definitely talking off my beau’s ear and there was only so much talk about different lipstick finishes he could handle. It was a fun idea I had toyed around with and I’m so glad I did it.
What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers: Don’t pay attention to the numbers. The #1 thing I couldn’t care less about is how many people follow or read what I have to say. Of course, without followers there isn’t a lot of interaction, but I don’t understand the big deal. I loved my blog at 3 followers and I still loved my blog the same at 300 followers. If you’re doing it for the numbers maybe that’s the wrong reason to.
Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time: Absolutely. It’s something that is more than a hobby to me. It makes me feel really connected to my girly side. I love being able to talk to people about the things that make me happy and blogging is one great way to do it.
What’s one of the best things about being a blogger: I just love the fact that we are all into talking about the same things. It’s so nice to be able to look to tons of awesome people for opinions on anything and everything you could possibly imagine. It’s a cool thing.
Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way: Blogging has helped me stay glued to the camera. I grew up wanting to be a photographer and to go to art school. Even though I’m not in art school, I like having reasons to get behind the camera and be artistic.
Name one thing that inspires you: My friends are a huge inspiration to me. Honestly, they’re all so fun loving and goofy. All of us have very different distinct senses of style and I love to mix up my own style with some add ins of theirs like graphic tees and trainers.
Share one of your favourite quotes: “Never give up on a dream just because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” – Earl Nightingale

What sort of things do you blog about most: fashion, lifestyle, travel, and recipes.
Name three words to describe your blog: personal, realistic, and colourful!
When did you first start blogging: three years ago
Why did you begin to blog: I was inspired by reading others, so thought I would give it a go myself!
What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers: all good things come to those who wait. There’s
no rush, nor a race, so be yourself and just enjoy it.
Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time: yes, but as I mature as a person, I think my blog will also mature with time too.
What’s one of the best things about being a blogger: the support you get from the blogging community, it’s made me a lot more confident in myself.
Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way: it’s helped me step out if my comfort zone and find my voice. It’s also a fantastic added bonus to add to your CV!
Name one thing that inspires you: design. I am a design junkie, studying it at university I am constantly inspired by patterns, colours, and typography.
Share one of your favourite quotes: true happiness can often be found in the simplest of moments.

Inspirational Note To All Those Who Have Aspirations & Ambitions

So I just wanted to write a little post dedicated to those people who have aspirations, ambitions or dreams and are aiming to succeed at something specific in life. I never realized how many people are so determined to get into a specific occupation when they are older or have strong ambitious dreams until I got a blog on here and I got twitter (Probably last person to ever get it) & followed fellow bloggers some of whom are aiming to become professional photographers, journalists, fashion stylists and designers and it has inspired me to write this post.

I myself have a very ambitious dream and those of you who follow my blog will know what it is – to become a fashion journalist/editor. I know that this is a very tough occupation to get into and most of the time it isn’t paid which is fine when you’re just gathering experience but not when you need a a full time paying job. Luckily I am at the point in my life when I am just gathering as much experience as possible, currently I did write for 5 magazines but sadly I had to relieve myself of two of those magazines as I had gained enough experience from them and also it was time to move on and give myself some relief. Now I write for 3 magazines and I am a fashion ambassador for Fashion156.com as well, I am trying hard to gather as much fashion and writing related experience now before I get older to give me the best chances.

Back to the original base of the message, I have met some wonderful people on Twitter and my blog that have strong dreams and I really believe they have potential, I see people with the same determination and ambitious nature as myself and I just wanted to write this post to say one thing: KEEP GOING. I see future wannabe stylists and designers and photographers with some amazing unseen work and potential on their blogs and I really hope they know how well they are doing!

Sometimes I get lethargic but then I remember I need to work hard if I want a decent life in the future, good job, great house and car and stable lifestyle and a happy marriage and I will continue to work for all of that 🙂 I wish all of you ambitious and head strong people good luck and to keep at your dreams until they come true or come close enough 🙂

Saturday Blogger Interviews – Blogger Kim Jobson

photo-3

Name: Kim Jobson

Location: London

Age: 23 years YOUNG haha

Blog link: http://www.kimjobson.tumblr.com

Twitter: @kimjobsonphoto,

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kim-Jobson-Photography/122768114450509

What three things do you blog about most:

I’m usually posting about my recent photo shoots: Showing behind the scenes images from the shoot, sneaky peaks from my editing or publishing shiny new edits. 🙂 I’m a pretty rubbish writer so it’s quite an image based blog which I like. I’m about to start doing weekly street style fashion based posts though so keep your eyes peeled for those! I love street style so I’m quite excited to start doing more of those 🙂

Name three words to describe your blog:

Photography, Fashion and Creativity.

When did you first start blogging:

I’ve had this blog for a while but never hugely got into it until last year where I started posting more and actually using it properly! I was quite lazy with posting so I ended up re-making it a million times haha.

Why did you begin to blog:

For me its a really useful tool to share my most recent images, I don’t always upload EVERY new image to my website, but it will most likely always make its way onto the blog. I quite liked the idea of sharing behind the scenes images too, which I think is always fun to see on shoots, which was one of the main reasons I started it.

What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers:

Quite an important one, don’t forget to post haha. I was terrible for that to begin with, infact I’m not amazing now but I’m getting better! It takes a lot of commitment to keep it going so think of ways which will help you to post more, like with my new street style weekly posts I think this will push me to post more because I’ll need to commit to it being a weekly thing.

Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time:

Oh of course, I’m hoping by then it will be a lot better and will be full to the brim of loads of amazing new images and I’ll be posting a lot more regularly. I have loads of new things I want to start shooting for the blog so it’s all progress in the making at the moment.

What’s one of the best things about being a blogger:

I never really see myself as a blogger, I’m just a photographer posting images, I like to think of it as an extended, more relaxed version of my website ha. But one of the best things is having somewhere to post ALL of my images, as obviously my website is only for my portfolio and I’ll only usually add 2/3 images from the same shoot on there, so its nice to be able to post the other images from a shoot that I love that probably wouldn’t get seen otherwise.

Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way:

The more I’ve started to use it I think its definitely helped give me a push with my photography. As all my posts are based on my photography, I realize when I haven’t posted in a while its because I haven’t made the time to do any more personal shoots, as I’m also an in-house fashion photographer for a fashion brand, I’m ALWAYS working so its easy to loose track of my personal work so it gives me that push to make some time and keep organizing fresh new shoots and making contacts.

Just Trade – Carved Tagua Nut Shark Necklace Review*

A little while ago I had asked Just Trade if they would consider doing a promotional exchange with me because I loved the items they had in their online store! Just Trade is an online shop that sells delicate fair trade and beautifully designed jewellery.

A couple of mornings ago I received a small parcel in the post which contained a beautiful black bag and inside the bag was a black box containing a Tagua carved nut in the shape of a shark. I was super thrilled as I love sharks and they are my favourite animal and not to mention I really love fair trade jewellery and items.

The whole experience with Just Trade was friendly and the posting of the item was super quick and was elegantly presented upon opening the parcel. The shark itself is so delicately carved and looks wonderful, such a beautiful piece of jewellery. As Just Trade’s online store states in the description of this amazing necklace it says that it was hand carved in Ecuador which is wonderful and I love the idea that the fair trade aspect of these items in their store are helping others globally.

This is a definite love!

Please check out Just Trades website and also their social sites!

The Frow – Black Leather With White Leather Sleeves Top Review*

So happily a while ago I asked ‘The Frow’ a pretty online upcoming clothing store to do a promotional exchange and I got a very happy email back saying they would love to, much to my excitement! The online store caught my attention because it had clothes which were different to other online shops, not just the generic stuff you get but they had some really beautiful and different pieces in different styles and I thought that was pretty awesome.

After I received the item in the post I excitedly unwrapped it and immediately tried it on, it fitted wonderfully and I was happy with the outcome. It fits just perfectly to accentuate my figure and the clash of black and white makes the top stand out! It goes great with jeans or leather leggings as well and would look amazing with some accessories like chunky bracelets or necklaces!

I would recommend checking out their online store here: http://www.thefrontrowonline.co.uk/
Make sure you check out their twitter page as well! https://twitter.com/TheFrow1

Once again a big thank you to ‘The Frow’ for this wonderful promotional exchange! 🙂
