Hello, Bonjour, Konnichiwa, Hola! March/April Catch Up

Image

So for this little post I thought that I would sum up the beginning of this month & last month in a little collage because it’s cute,
I love to see little collages on other’s blogs because I like to see the little photo’s they choose and what they represent!

So from top left going right we have 1. Me in glasses! I went to the opticians and I found out I need glasses for reading  2. Me and my partner went for a walk around the local park and he brought me a portion of traditional chips (The kind you get at the seaside! which I love love love!) so that was super nice 3. A really lovely quote that I need to start listening to because I worry to much over the past and to much over the future 4. A little photo of me and my partner messing around 5. A photo of a ladybird I took whilst I was walking home 6. Daffodils! I love them especially because they’re all in bloom this time of year 7. A photo from my partner’s 20th birthday! 8. Another little picture of the park (Excuse the watermark, I’m working on it!) that we walk around sometimes for a nice break of fresh air and finally 9. NANDO’S! we went to nando’s for my partners birthday and it was amazing as usual, I really love nando’s particularly the chicken wrap! 🙂

So that’s my little update, how have you all been? Is there anything you like specifically in this post then let me know in the comments 🙂

5 things I want to buy…

So I haven’t blogged in a little while and that’s because I’ve not been feeling so well lately but luckily I went to the doctors and I should be feeling much better soon! I have a ton of blog posts to write and I am trying to squish them all out so you all don’t get to bored of me (I hope you already haven’t haha) If you’ve been tagging along on my blog you’ll know I attempted the 30 day photo challenge, sadly I flopped that because I only managed to get to day 19! (Sorry!) However I’m on the look out for other lists/challenges and such to try so if you have any suggestions pass them my way! 🙂

Anyway so I thought I would do a little post about 5 things I want to buy when I have enough money because I am always adding stuff to my mental list in my head! So lets begin…

  1. Running shoes – This is the constant excuse I use for not doing exercise, the lack of proper footwear to do such strenuous activities! I do actually want to get a pair though, running in converse isn’t fun nor comfortable.

  2. BooTea Tea – A ‘teatox’, I’m not usually one for these sort of products as I rarely believe in them however after a good duration reading their website and also looking at other girls results on twitter, I’m going to give it a go just purely because I am trying to be more healthier from this point onward. (Google them if you’ve never heard of them, it’s worth it!)

  3. Soap & Glory™ Thick & Fast Flash Extensions Mascara High Definition Collagen Coat – I was looking for a long time for a new mascara, I like to keep my make up natural but I like my eyes to stand out and I don’t really use liquid eyeliner that much so I like to choose a mascara that gives me lots of definition and ‘oomph’ shall we say.

  4. Ritual Fortune Scrub – I got my first taste of the Ritual products from a magazine a while back (Perhaps GLAMOUR? Can’t remember!) and I tried the Ritual Fortune Scrub, now when I got my sample with the magazine I was surprised it was a full blown big bottle not the tiny little itty bitty samples you usually get so I was excited and hopeful that I liked this product because I had a ton of it in this sample. IT SMELLS LIKE PARADISE! literally, I feel like I’m on holiday in an exotic paradise when I use this! I usually don’t rate shower gels or scrubs because I’m never that impressed but this one is different! If you’ve tried it you’ll agree where I’m coming from and if you haven’t then you can buy it online quite cheap I believe 🙂

  5. Eyebrow threading – Okay so I have something to admit, I shaved off one eyebrow BY ACCIDENT! 😦 You’d think I’d know better, but was totally accidental (I bet you’re all laughing now) So I lost my tweezers and as a student I couldn’t afford to have my eyebrows threaded/waxed again for a while so I quickly used a razor to try and get rid of the bottom hairs and the razor caught the rest of my eyebrow in the process! 😦 (If you weren’t laughing earlier bet you are now) So for a while I’ve been using an eyebrow pencil and you can’t see that it was shaved off viciously but now they’re kinda grown back (HOORAY!!!) so soon I shall pay for my eyebrows to be threaded 🙂

That’s my 5 things I need to buy when I have the money, I hope you enjoyed it! Comment/like/subscribe/Tweet if you like lovelies! 🙂

30 Day Photo Challenge – DAY 7 THE SKY

So today is day seven and I am posting on time (wooo!) and today was ‘The Sky’ which was an awful coincidence because the weather today was appalling – cold, wet, rainy and cloudy! However luckily on my way home I saw the best skyline which I thought deserved to take pride of place in the 30 day challenge as day 7 and that’s because the skyline was moving into the evening and this meant that the sky was a beautiful tangerine colour and I just had to snap that up! 🙂

Things I love about Halloween!

Hello, Hello, Hello…I know I haven’t blogged in a while and that is because I had my birthday on 12th October (I am 20 now!) and I have been doing a lot of university work and also as you mostly all know I write for a few magazines as a freelance journalist on the side to gain experience and add to my portfolio so both of those things are hectically time consuming! Sorry! But I am back and I will try to blog a bit more so stick around 🙂

So for my post I thought I would choose the topic of Halloween, which is a pretty obvious one since it is October! I think October is probably my favourite month followed by December as it’s all frosty and leafy and just all round cosy 🙂 But back to my topic of blog post, so I thought I would do things I love about Halloween! So lets start…

1. Candy Apples/Caramel Apples/Toffee Apples – So delicious! Although I prefer the caramel outside rather than the actual apple.

2. Pumpkins – Who doesn’t enjoy a good pumpkin carving? Inside the pumpkin smells a little but once you get past all the seeds and gooey bits it is pretty fun to carve a little face into it and I love how it looks all spooky when the candle is lit inside.

3. All the shops, stores and houses get prepared for Halloween – Fake cobwebs, pumpkins, fake zombies, pretend tombstones, spiders, bats and blood everywhere!

4. Candy Corn – Something I found like a year ago, it is an American sweet that we don’t have over in England but we can find it in some special American sweet shops here and they taste amazing!

5. Dressing up – Although I dress up for Halloween a lot less than when I was a child and people’s choice of outfits may have changed into more mature selections I still love to dress up and be all spooky if I can.

So that’s what I love about Halloween! What about you?

Things I Miss From My Childhood

So everyone has things they miss from their childhood right? You may agree on some of these things with me, I myself was born in 1993 and the thing’s I am about to list are things that I loved when I was growing up! 🙂

Here it goes 🙂

  • Watching cartoons– Remember Arthur? Little bear? Rupert? Those shows made my childhood!
  • Sega Drive – When I first played on my SEGA drive I never knew I’d grow up to love video games so much, thinking back to the graphics and quality of games to now is crazy!
  • Pokemon – I miss the mornings I got to watch Pokemon whilst getting ready for school, it was too cool.
  • Inflatable chairs – One of the best things ever…I had an inflatable green chair, I remember when everyone was going crazy for inflatable things, I even had a backpack! After I blew it up of course first.
  • Tamagotchi – Not the new ones that are around today but the really old kind of tamagotchi and I got my first one on holiday and it was baby pink and in the shape of an egg, my parents brought me and my siblings all one and I loved mine thought it was incredible.
  • Films – I once watched a film with my dad called The Tenth Kingdom, as scary as it was this was a great film still and even to this day after 13 years of it’s release and of me watching it I still remember the key parts!
  • Barbies – I had various barbies but my favourite was one that was mermaid whose tail changed colours in the bath and one where I could highlight her hair with some accessory thing I got with her, I miss these.
  • Stick on earrings – Those tiny little stick on earrings that came in the shape of moons and hearts, I liked them but they often got stuck in my hair or somewhere and I usually only ended up with one left…
  • Beanie Babies – I collected them for a long and perilous amount of time, there are bags of them at my parents house.
  • Jelly shoes – I proudly can say I owned a pair of silver glittery jelly heeled shoe sandals that I wore everywhere, even school. Apparently they sell them in some retailers now for adults so may just grab a pair! 🙂
  • Furbies – I had a furby and it was grey, I loved it till it kept me up all night every night with its talking and squeaking…then it found a nice home in the spare room away from me.

Well that is all for now guys hope you liked that little insight 🙂 Subscribe/follow or like 🙂

A typical British stereotype

So I thinking about the traditional generic British stereotypes that many people think of when thinking of Britain, I found this quite funny because most of the time I don’t do any of these things that most people associate with British folk which made me laugh 🙂 So I thought I’d Google the most generic British stereotypes and talk about them! Enjoy! 🙂

  • We all LOVE tea? Okay the truth is I love tea I really do, there is nothing better than a nice cup of tea made just perfectly! 🙂 However this is not true as well because many people hate tea or prefer coffee or hate them both in fact!
  • We all speak like the Queen? No not at all, there are various dialects all over the Britain such as Geordie, Lancastrian, Scouse, Brummie, Yorkshire but however down the South you do find dialects become more like received pronunciation also known as the Queens English, so no we don’t all sound like the Queen although some people may have a dialect somewhere similar.
  • We love our fish ‘n’ chips? I don’t account for the whole of Britain but I love fish and chips, well not the fish because I don’t eat fish so I just like the chips 🙂 I guess a lot of people love fish and chips, but we love many other dishes as well.
  • We are snobby? I think this is a generalization, I know many people who are down to earth and friendly but there are people that are snobby as well but were not all snobs 🙂
  • We all have yellow teeth? This made me laugh the most, I know lots of people with brilliant white teeth and some with yellowing teeth but not every one has yellow teeth!
  • We are charming and suave? I think this is very generalized as well, not everyone is charming and suave but you’ll meet people who are and then you’ll meet people who definitely are not too!
  • We say cheerio and cor blimey? I have never said these things and probably wont ever. Although maybe there are still some people who say these things who knows?
  • We all love the royal family? Many people do love the royal family in Britain however many don’t as well its a split divide I guess, it depends on who you’re talking to.
  • It always rains and were always miserable? Yes! It rains a lot! but we get some sunny days too sometimes and were not always miserable! 🙂

Well I think that’s enough for now, hopefully didn’t offend anyone because nothing was meant to be offensive! It was just me shedding some light on British stereotypes in a playful way 🙂
