15 Day Blog Challenge!

So it’s been a little while since I last blogged and the last post I had was an opinion based poll to find out which posts are most interesting to all you lovely followers and also which subjects I should post more often on! I thought that I would make a little 15 day blog challenge for my blog because I prefer to make my own and I quite enjoy being creative with it anyway. The main reason I did only 15 days is down to the fact that when I made my 30 day photo challenge I found it immensely hard to post everyday on time and dropped behind now and then cause I just got busy with coursework etc. So I am hoping this one will go better! πŸ™‚ (Fingers crossed!)

You can join in or use this photo for your own blog if you wish just let me know! πŸ™‚ I shall be starting tomorrow! x

The Teen Vogue Handbook?

Aspiring to work in fashion? then this is the book for you! I found it by chance when I was scouring through Amazon and I came across this little gem when I was searching for some fashion based books and I am super glad I brought it. I have been looking for quite some time for a book that informs me of all the careers in the fashion industry, a book that had a wide burst of knowledge and contained information that would help me and I eventually found ‘The Teen Vogue Handbook’.

It was published a while ago (a few years back I think) but it has a lot of information in it from advice tailored for people wanting to be stylists to designers to editors from all the biggest names in the fashion world and it has so much to give an aspiring fashion industry lover like myself, hence why I am writing a mini review on it now because it’s rather a good book and cheap too from amazon! πŸ™‚

Over 500 followers!

So I wanted to do a little post to say a BIG BIG thank you to all my followers! I just spent the last couple of minutes adding up my followers on Bloglovin &Β WordPress and I now have over 500 followers which is brilliant because I never assumed my blog would get this far, so it’s lovely to know there are people out there who love to read what I have to say or like what I just babble on about!

I started my blog just over a year ago now as my blog hit it’s 1st birthday at the end of March and I am so happy that I took the plunge to start blogging because it really is something I enjoy. I was never sure on whether to start blogging as I am a very shy person and pretty much as introverted as an introvert can get! But blogging has helped me in many ways and I have met some wonderful bloggers along the way πŸ™‚

I shall be doing a giveaway towards the end of the month (April) and I hope that you’ll all be interested in taking part! It’ll be my very first giveaway and I am hoping to make it really cool so stay tuned.

Once again thank you to all my lovely followers! πŸ™‚

Hello, Bonjour, Konnichiwa, Hola! March/April Catch Up

Image

So for this little post I thought that I would sum up the beginning of this month & last month in a little collage because it’s cute,
I love to see little collages on other’s blogs because I like to see the little photo’s they choose and what they represent!

So from top left going right we have 1. Me in glasses! I went to the opticians and I found out I need glasses for reading Β 2. Me and my partner went for a walk around the local park and he brought me a portion of traditional chips (The kind you get at the seaside! which I love love love!) so that was super nice 3. A really lovely quote that I need to start listening to because I worry to much over the past and to much over the future 4. A little photo of me and my partner messing around 5. A photo of a ladybird I took whilst I was walking home 6. Daffodils! I love them especially because they’re all in bloom this time of year 7. A photo from my partner’s 20th birthday! 8. Another little picture of the park (Excuse the watermark, I’m working on it!) that we walk around sometimes for a nice break of fresh air and finally 9. NANDO’S! we went to nando’s for my partners birthday and it was amazing as usual, I really love nando’s particularly the chicken wrap! πŸ™‚

So that’s my little update, how have you all been? Is there anything you like specifically in this post then let me know in the comments πŸ™‚

30 day photo challenge – day 18 natural beauty

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven’t posted the 30 day photo challenge in a while (I think I missed like 2/3 days) but that’s because it was my partners birthday over the weekend! Hooray πŸ™‚ not only that but I have a lot of essays due these upcoming weeks and I find it hard to work up the motivation to blog straight after I’ve just finished a long essay! So apologies πŸ™‚

However I’m going to post the missing photos now and that way I would’ve caught up to the right day πŸ™‚

So day 18 is natural beauty! And the photo I have chosen is of a bunch of roses I got on valentines day because roses are incredibly beautiful and completely natural! πŸ™‚

30 day photo challenge!

So I have been seeing a lot of the 30 day photo challenges around lately and after looking at loads I couldn’t find one that suited me so I decided to make my own one up because after all its just for fun anyway! I am starting it tomorrow because I’m too impatient to wait for the 1st of March and plus I want to just get it started, I don’t think it matters if you don’t start on the first anyway πŸ™‚

Feel free to take the challenge from below and do it yourself, I think it’s worth doing just because the keywords are open to interpretation and it’ll be interesting what others come up with but let me know if you do and such so I can see the photo’s!

I’ll be posting my first picture tomorrow! NATURE πŸ™‚

What sort of things do you blog about most: fashion, lifestyle, travel, and recipes.
Name three words to describe your blog: personal, realistic, and colourful!
When did you first start blogging: three years ago
Why did you begin to blog: I was inspired by reading others, so thought I would give it a go myself!
What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers: all good things come to those who wait. There’s
no rush, nor a race, so be yourself and just enjoy it.
Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time: yes, but as I mature as a person, I think my blog will also mature with time too.
What’s one of the best things about being a blogger: the support you get from the blogging community, it’s made me a lot more confident in myself.
Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way: it’s helped me step out if my comfort zone and find my voice. It’s also a fantastic added bonus to add to your CV!
Name one thing that inspires you: design. I am a design junkie, studying it at university I am constantly inspired by patterns, colours, and typography.
