What sort of things do you blog about most: fashion, lifestyle, travel, and recipes.
Name three words to describe your blog: personal, realistic, and colourful!
When did you first start blogging: three years ago
Why did you begin to blog: I was inspired by reading others, so thought I would give it a go myself!
What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers: all good things come to those who wait. There’s
no rush, nor a race, so be yourself and just enjoy it.
Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time: yes, but as I mature as a person, I think my blog will also mature with time too.
What’s one of the best things about being a blogger: the support you get from the blogging community, it’s made me a lot more confident in myself.
Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way: it’s helped me step out if my comfort zone and find my voice. It’s also a fantastic added bonus to add to your CV!
Name one thing that inspires you: design. I am a design junkie, studying it at university I am constantly inspired by patterns, colours, and typography.
Share one of your favourite quotes: true happiness can often be found in the simplest of moments.

Millie ‘n’ Mae Boutique – Brown Vintage Carriage Scarf and Tan Brown Leather Bracelet Promotional Present with discount code*

A long time ago I came across a very sweet and unique boutique called “Millie ‘n’ Mae” and I loved this online boutique because it seemed to sell such quirky and cute things! I emailed them and asked to do a blogging promotional exchange and they happily agreed, so lucky me I got to review two of their beautiful items from their online store here on my blog for all your lovely followers to enjoy!

The boutique sells items such as necklaces and bracelets as well as scarves and other various fashion fun pieces, if you’re looking for a signature piece to complete your outfit then I suggest taking a look here! Not only is the service incredibly fast and friendly, they made me feel more than welcome and were happy to always help! I excitedly received my parcel in the post from “Millie ‘n’ Mae” and took a peek at the treasures inside, I had chosen to review a brown vintage carriage scarf made of 100% polyester and a lovely tan leather brown magnetic clasp bracelet.

The quality of these items was good and they really looked lovely! I loved the colours of the scarf as it can be worn with a variety of vests, t-shirts or even dresses and the bracelet looks really exceptionally well made, I love that it has a magnetic clasp as it makes it easier to take off and put on as well.

Overall I would say the whole interaction with the store has been more than pleasant and very jolly which is always great 🙂 Millie ‘n’ Mae were also kind enough to give all my followers a further 20% discount from there already reasonably cheap prices which is utterly lovely of them and I am sure my followers will love to browse around their online boutique!

The discount code is: URBANITE20

There are photos below of the items, but as I am home from university and my usual photographer is not over at the moment I had to take some self shots! Please excuse the camera quality as the real life items are so much more beautiful in real life 🙂

Make sure you take a look at their home page here: http://millie-n-mae.co.uk/ and they also have Twitter as well so be sure to follow them and show your support for there ever emerging business! https://twitter.com/MillienMae

Inspirational Note To All Those Who Have Aspirations & Ambitions

So I just wanted to write a little post dedicated to those people who have aspirations, ambitions or dreams and are aiming to succeed at something specific in life. I never realized how many people are so determined to get into a specific occupation when they are older or have strong ambitious dreams until I got a blog on here and I got twitter (Probably last person to ever get it) & followed fellow bloggers some of whom are aiming to become professional photographers, journalists, fashion stylists and designers and it has inspired me to write this post.

I myself have a very ambitious dream and those of you who follow my blog will know what it is – to become a fashion journalist/editor. I know that this is a very tough occupation to get into and most of the time it isn’t paid which is fine when you’re just gathering experience but not when you need a a full time paying job. Luckily I am at the point in my life when I am just gathering as much experience as possible, currently I did write for 5 magazines but sadly I had to relieve myself of two of those magazines as I had gained enough experience from them and also it was time to move on and give myself some relief. Now I write for 3 magazines and I am a fashion ambassador for Fashion156.com as well, I am trying hard to gather as much fashion and writing related experience now before I get older to give me the best chances.

Back to the original base of the message, I have met some wonderful people on Twitter and my blog that have strong dreams and I really believe they have potential, I see people with the same determination and ambitious nature as myself and I just wanted to write this post to say one thing: KEEP GOING. I see future wannabe stylists and designers and photographers with some amazing unseen work and potential on their blogs and I really hope they know how well they are doing!

Sometimes I get lethargic but then I remember I need to work hard if I want a decent life in the future, good job, great house and car and stable lifestyle and a happy marriage and I will continue to work for all of that 🙂 I wish all of you ambitious and head strong people good luck and to keep at your dreams until they come true or come close enough 🙂

Bella Vita – Snow Leopard Print Scarf Review*

*So a little while ago I emailed Bella Vita Boutique, a very cute and sweet online boutique that sells a range of quirky accessories such as scarves and bracelet’s in a range of unique designs and colours! I automatically adored a certain scarf that I saw on the boutique’s website store and wanted to do a review of it immediately, I emailed to see whether they would do a promotional exchange with me and they happily agreed much to my delight! I am so happy and honoured to get to do a review for this cute scarf and boutique and would definitely want to help promote their boutique again in the future!

Today in my post I got a little parcel and inside was a beautifully hand wrapped present (my scarf) the whole packaging itself was so pretty! Pink tissue paper and a cute pink ribbon covering the scarf neatly made me super excited to open it.

Ten random things I hate!

Anyone who knows me personally will know that I am a rather down to earth, easy to get on with sort of girl however in some cases I can moan and complain like everybody else as well! So here’s the ten things on the top of my head I can think of that really annoys me. Remember Everyone is different and this is just my pet peeves 🙂 Enjoy 🙂

  1. Liars – There is no excuses to fabricate the truth or twist it in anyway, everything is so much better without lies.
  2. No having anything to eat – Now I say this out of context, obviously there is food in my cupboards to eat but just nothing I fancy, I seem fussy right? Hahah Sometime’s I really don’t have food though!
  3. Having no money – Something that I had to accustom to once I became a student, It’s even worse when it’s pouring down with rain and I haven’t got some spare change for the bus! I don’t even have wellies in that case either 😦
  4. People who say they hate one thing but then do it? – It makes no sense, don’t tell me you hate people saying this or doing that if you do it yourself…
  5. Mean people – They come in many forms via Facebook/Twitter/In person etc but being mean is not cool.
  6. Really promiscuous and barely dressed girls – I hate seeing girls hardly dressed, openly admitting they do this and do that and love being promiscuous but they complain about the bad attention they get?
  7. People rubbing in that they are better off than you/have something you don’t – Okay I don’t care keeeep your stuff least I’m happy.
  8. Those who come to University JUST to go clubbing – I’m not talking about the people who come and club and go to lessons as well I’m just talking about those people who just come to club nothing more nothing less, whats the point?
  9. When there is nothing on TV – 😦 😦
  10. Eating a take away and the next day feeling terrible about it – Loss of money and gained calories 😦 yummy though 🙂

Anyway that’s 10 random things that I hate that I can think off the top of my head. – Seeee yaaaa 🙂
