Hey everyone! Sorry I didn’t get a chance to upload my first picture of my photo challenge yesterday it’s because it was my nieces birthday! So I spent yesterday on the train and celebrating with my whole family 🙂
But this is my day 1 photo for nature and I took it Friday evening, I thought it would make a good nature shot for my challenge because the tree looks so gigantic and quite symbolic in the growing darkness of the night and also it shows that even if you live in a big city you can still find nature if you look around enough so I thought it was a nice photo.
My day 2 photo for today is FOOD and will be uploaded tonight! 🙂
So this is my third outfit of the day post I have ever written, slowly but surely I am getting better and bit more confident with doing these so that’s a plus! But today I was meeting my family as they came to visit so I decided to wear some of my favourite items of clothing. Without further ado I present my third outfit of the day post ever 🙂
A round about a year ago on Valentines day my partner brought me some brown skinny jeans from ASOS which I love because I think they are a really lovely shade of brown and go with pretty much anything. They are super comfy and look so nice and accentuate curves which is good, I also decided to wear my black formal fitted shirt from TU by Gok Wan which I love because it fits so nicely and I like the way that it is fitted as well and looks so formal but cute too! Sorry about the picture it was a really windy day and by the time I got home I looked awful but still wanted to share with you guys 🙂
Hope you enjoyed my little OOTD post 🙂 Like, Follow, Subscribe.
Okay so I love Summer just like everyone else, It’s not my favourite season but it’s still a nice season the only two reasons I dislike Summer is because 1. It sometimes gets waaaay to hot and 2. Just because it’s hot everyone thinks it’s an excuse to go out half naked… Anyway I love Summer because it brings out some beautiful fashion trends and I think the sun just makes everything seem a bit better, so without further ado here are 4 things I really want for summer! 🙂
Flower Headband – These are so beautiful I really adore them so much and I think they look really quite beautiful on any hair colour or length 🙂 (Photo found on WeHeartIt)
A long skirt – Seems a little unspecific but I really want a long skirt to my knees or below, I love skirts and sometimes I prefer longer skirts to shorter ones so this is something I want for Summer as I already have some short ones. (Photo found on WeHeartIt)
A cute colourful bright satchel – I already own a satchel or two but I keep seeing these brightly coloured vibrant satchels around and I would love one especially in red! (Photo from WeHeartIt via Google)
Some colourful nail varnish – I have mountains of nail polish but I really want some new vibrant bright colours which ooze Summer! (Photo from WeHeartIt)
Well hope you all enjoyed 4 little things I really desire for Summer 🙂
So the other day I was in the supermarket food shopping and I decided to take a detour down the make up and beauty aisle which is where I found this little beauty – Garnier Skin Naturals Youthful Radiance Mutli-Active Cleansing Gel in Green Mint and Grape Anti-Oxidents 200ml 🙂
I decided to buy it because it was so cheap and give it a go, admittedly I have lots of exfoliators and washes but I really wanted to give this a go as it seemed different to other face cleansers. I got home excited and happy to try out my new face cleansing gel and was pleasantly surprised by the results I got after using it, the cleansing gel itself smells amazing and its so smooth and clear making it an easy application to the face. This multi-active cleansing gel is meant to remove impurities, boost radiance and smooth out any facial lines that are unpleasant so I had high hopes, the cleansing itself is Green mint and Grape anti-oxidants so I thought this would be a nice treat for my face instead of the usual harsh exfoliators.
Overall I was pleased with the new cleansing gel that I got and it has a lot of advantages, making my face fresher and getting rid of extra impurities and make up that my make up wipes miss so I am very happy with this buy! 🙂
I love nail polish, I love the range of different colours you can buy and I’m impressed with the different types like glow in the dark or magnetic! Now I always usually keep up with my nails making sure that if they start chipping I either apply another coat or I just take it off all together. I tend to go for nail varnishes that will last a few days if not weeks and I myself tend to go for a range of colours but I always avoid yellow as it’s not a colour I like in the form of nail varnish but everyone’s different! 🙂
So I decided to do a small review of three of my favourite nail polishes:
Nails Inc, London Magnetic Polish in 052 Houses of Parliament.
This was a present from my sister and I love it! The colour is a really classy colour and I love the fact that the top of the lid has a magnet in it so when you hover it above the nail varnish it changes the pattern of it. Durability wise this is great as it lasts a long time around about a week I found and even longer with a clear coat on top! So a definite winner 🙂 I have used it loads of times and the bottle is still full! So this is great for someone who paints their nails loads of times and wants the bottle to last for the price. Only disadvantage is that if you lose the lid then you cant do anything about changing the pattern of it! So be careful.
Barry M Nail Paint in 352 Pink Sapphire Glitter.
I love this nail polish because it’s so glittery and sparkly! Especially in sun! The colour is a mixture of beautiful pieces of glitter in various pink shades and some silver as well. It’s one of my favourites because it goes with so many other nail polishes, especially pink based ones, it goes great as the top coat and creates a really cute look and its easy and fuss free.
Durability wise it last a rather long time which is good because I like my nail varnishes to last a good amount of time and plus with this one it minimizes cracking and chipping of the nails as well – Win!
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in 49 Dahlia .
I love this shade of pink! In the bottle it seems quite dark but on my hands it comes out rather bright and looks so glossy which is why I love it. It’s also very durable and can with stand all the day to day tasks your hands go through which is always a good point with regards to nail polish.
The bottle lasts a long time and the brush is a nice size as well which makes me love this nail varnish even more 🙂
Well that’s my little review on 3 of my favourite nail polishes! Hope you enjoyed 🙂
Today I had my hospital appointment at 9am so I was awake really early (Something that I was only really used to back at home- now I’m just lazy), I didn’t get much sleep either so being tired made me feel horrid! Because I was up early it meant that I started my day early as well which was nice because today was warm and spring like 🙂 (Pictures at the bottom!)
After the hospital we walked all the way home which is like a 30 minute walk and then we decided that we would go on a little country walk since the weather was really nice and we had found a walking route. We started our adventure promptly, walking towards the opening of the forest walkway it looked something similar to a horror movie even despite the blissful sun, but we carried on because we were aiming to get to a beautiful viewing spot where you can see the whole city skyline! We walked for a good 20 minutes up hill through the countryside farms until we reached a field of horses which is where I saw my first baby foal in real life – It was uber cute! Being pretty tired we stopped to take photos and admire the horses when they suddenly decided to go on a rampage and get all protective so we left quite quickly because I got scared one might jump over the fence! (I’m a big chicken)
Sometime after this we finally reached the peak of the hill and we got a beautiful view of the Leeds city skyline which is really something 🙂 My partner made a joke about the lack of skyscrapers in Leeds and it went something like this ‘There’s hardly any skyscrapers, if spider man was swinging through the city he wouldn’t get anywhere’ which made me laugh :’)
We took lots of photos and made our way back home, we were both relieved to be able to rest and I had a good 6 hour nap to replenish my tired self 🙂 Sadly I’m back at uni tomorrow for lectures/seminars but what can you do… 😦 Nearly home for Summer though just got a few more weeks to go and then I’ll be blogging about my summer at home in North London which should be exciting and different! 😀
I hope you all had a nice day, follow follow follow 🙂 See you tomorrow!
