Day 3 – 5 things I dislike

So in this little post it is day 3 so I will be discussing 5 things that I dislike, I’ll make it short and sweet and to the point! 🙂

1. Liars – What’s the point in lying, you only have to remember all the lies you’ve told and eventually liars always get caught out, plus it’s not healthy.

2. Tuna – Just yuck. It smells, it’s a fish and it looks unappetizing.

3. Bugs in my room at night when I’m trying to sleep cause they might crawl on me 😦

4. Eating healthy and then having a moment of weakness eat lots of rubbish and then feel bad afterwards.

5. When I do my make up and I have to sneeze or itch my eye 😦

So that’s 5 little things I dislike, there’s probably more but that’ll do for now! Tomorrow is day 4 which is what’s in my bag! giphy (1)

Day 2 – My last holiday destination!

So day two of my little blog challenge I made was to describe the last holiday I went on! I love talking about holidays as much as I love going on them and I also love to read other bloggers describe their holidays as well so I thought this would be a good one to add to the challenge when I was thinking it up. So without further ado…

My last holiday destination was: Gran Canaria!

So lets start with the basics – where is it? if you didn’t already know then Gran Canaria is part of the canary islands which is a little off the coast of north west Africa but the island themselves are apart of Spain. So what was is like? Well it was like paradise! The weather when we got their was surprisingly lovely for January, we only had rain I think one night for the whole week we were there and the rest of the time it was hot but there was also a constant breeze which made it bearable.

It took a while to get to Gran Canaria by plane approx I think 4 hours and 30 minutes (it isn’t the longest flight I’ve ever been on but it was still tough!) I get unsettled and then I have to move around but I generally do enjoy flights, on the flight as well I was quite anxious because it was the first holiday we had booked all alone, done ourselves and paid for and it was just going to be the two of us in a different country so I was a bit anxious! but luckily all went to plan smoothly and once we arrived it was night time there, we got off the plane and found out coach to go to the resort and off we went.

Booking into our resort was easy enough, we got our room card and got told all the essentials and we went to find our room in the night time darkness with all the other holiday makers following suit. Like I said it was dark so we didn’t see much of the resort that night for obvious reasons but in the morning we were just blown away by how beautiful it was and how comfortable we felt there – Plus we had a random cute kitten outside our apartment every night which was adorable!

We went all inclusive so we got breakfast, lunch and dinner and late night snacks and drinks all included which was lovely. Every night after dinner we tended to go watch the entertainment for the night and have a few drinks and such which was lovely and then throughout the week we did some other little exciting bits like finding the beach, exploring the city, playing mini golf and eating at a panorama sea view restaurant and seeing the famous sand dunes!

But that was mine and my partner’s last holiday all wrapped up for you, I hope you enjoyed it! I thought I would wrap it up now because I could just go on forever 🙂

So I hope you’ll be around for tomorrows post on day 3 which is 5 things I dislike!

Day 1 – 10 Facts about me!

So I started my little blog challenge a few days later than I originally planned but let’s get a move on now it’s started! So day 1 was 10 facts about myself to share with you all. I’ve done a few of these before so apologies if you’ve already read a fact or two I’ve put before 🙂

  1. I have a double jointed thumb. I happen to think it’s pretty cool, I always used this to my advantage playing thumb wars!
  2. In less than a years time I will be graduating!
  3. I like to put my make up on in the morning, wash my hair and paint my nails. I know some people hate these tasks but I love them!
  4. I think I’m allergic to peel off face masks. This could of course be fact but also maybe just me assuming, as I’m not sure… (my skin starts burning, gets red and irritated and then stings when I use them so who knows!)
  5. Sometimes I get overly worried and panicky.
  6. Sometimes I am confident in myself, others times not so much.
  7. I love Lasagna and cheese more than I should.
  8. I have irrational fear of seals, killer whales and crocodiles.
  9. I love sharks, they’re my fav!
  10. I love going on holiday. (But doesn’t everyone!)

So that’s my little list of facts about me and I hope you liked it, tomorrow will be day 2 which is describing the last place I went on holiday so stick around! 🙂

Saturday Blogger Interviews – Ashlyn Shore

Name: Ashlyn Shore

Location: Vancouver, BC

Age: 23

Facebook/Twitter: @Ashlyn_Shore (No Facebook)

What sort of things do you blog about most:
I blog about anything really, but usually it’s book reviews and articles. My articles are about writing tips, advice, story structures, anything that may be useful to other writers. Sometimes I post short stories to let my readers know what my writing style really is. My book reviews are usually about books I’ve read and loved, but also the books that aren’t as popular as Harry Potter or The Hunger Games. I even blog about my opinions of things, like books and movie adaptions.

Name three words to describe your blog: inspirational, informative, and creative.

When did you first start blogging:
A little while after my birthday, exactly on June 28th 2013, so not that long ago. One day I just woke up with hundreds of page views and followers, it was a dream come true for any blogger. I actually tried blogging a few years back, ultimately failing to attract readers and I gave up on all of them. I’m glad I continued with this one, though!

Why did you begin to blog:
Before I began blogging, most of my friends and family knew I took creative writing seriously. I wanted to express myself through my writing, but clearly it wasn’t strong enough. Then one day a friend came up to me and suggested I start a blog to express my thoughts and feelings about writing. I considered it and created my blog through Blogger. It was actually quite fun, and to this day I feel that I can truly express myself in any way through my blog.

What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers:
Focus on the content of your blog, what you have written, the appearance, and manage all your useful widgets. Don’t waste your time attracting readers if there is nothing good to read. Always remember, content first, promotion second.

Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time:
I see myself blogging until I publish my first book. There is no way to tell when that will be, but surely more than four years. I will continue to blog and help boost confidence in others as my writing skills improve. Even after I publish a book or two, I won’t abandon my blog, but instead, expand my knowledge and share even more with my ever-growing number of readers.

What’s one of the best things about being a blogger:
One of the best things about being a blogger is connecting with your readers. Usually, your readers are those who have similar interests with you, which is what draws them to your blog. When you connect with your readers and make friends with them, you can exchange advice and ask them what they would like to see on your blog next. That way, your blog will become even better and your readers will like how you consider each of their opinions. It’s also great to run into another blogger. They can give you tips and secrets that will help enhance your blog. So it’s always great to connect with those around you whether through blogging or in life.

Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way:
Through blogging, I learned to grow through my writing and have confidence in myself. Before I would be more reluctant before writing something in my stories, but now I would just take the chance and go back to it later in my second draft. Sometimes you just have to take the chance follow your heart in the right direction it takes you. Blogging has definitely boosted my confidence and made me a better person.

Name one thing that inspires you:
Nature. I’m more country than I am city and I absolutely adore strolling through gardens and forests. Sometimes when I hear a rustle in the bushes nearby, my inner idealist takes over. There could be anything in there, from a fairy to a bear! I like taking photos of my surroundings when I’m hiking a forest trail or relaxing in a garden. That way, I can always look back at them at home and maybe spark an idea for another story to post on my blog.

Getting Involved In The $15 billion Pledge To End Polio

Okay so this is totally irrelevant to fashion but I thought I would share with you something I got involved in a while back. So a while back I saw an interesting story about a campaign to end polio around the world, for anyone who doesn’t know polio a very infectious virus which can cause paralysis in many people especially children. From 1988 there has been no recorded deaths or paralysis as a result of polio in the United Kingdom and much of the rest of the world can vouch for the same, however the reason the campaign is still ongoing is that some countries (around about 3 I think) are still regarded as high condition zones for polio and many lives are ruined and lost each year, mostly children as they are the most easily affected.

So when I did some research I found out that I could participate to help, now being a student I have hardly any money to donate so I looked for the next best big thing there was that I could do and this happened to be ‘The Worlds Biggest Commercial’ and simply all you have to do is add a photo of yourself to the ever growing gallery online and you’ll be added to the worlds biggest commercial. The great thing about this is every photo goes towards supporting and saving children from polio and even celebrities have got involved. Once you’ve added your image you will be added to the commercial and given your allocated time of appearance so you can see for yourself.

I thought this was a great way of helping and just thought I would share my experience with you guys 🙂 If you want to help or do the same just type in Google the worlds biggest commercial and it will come up! (everyone has to make the same sign with there hands).

We all love something right? Pets, food, gaming I could go on…But I thought I would share with my followers 5 things that I really love! 🙂

  • Food – I love food, Although I am fussy about what I eat sometimes I do appreciate food. I love cakes and good traditional hearty main meals like Lasagna and Macaroni Cheese!
  • Romantic Gestures – I love it when my partner does little romantic things, I am a big lover of bouquets of flowers, hand made gifts, brought gifts or planned romantic days out to a restaurant or cinema and snugly nights in with a take away and bunch of movies 🙂
  • Holidays – I love the anticipation and atmosphere of knowing I am going on holiday, I love being able to buy summer clothing and beach accessories before I leave, I love the journey there either via plane or car and I love the relaxation and break from reality that it brings with it!
  • Buying some new clothes – I love it when I buy new clothes because I feel so refreshed and new. I love getting to wear an item I brought for the first time and feel good about it as well.

Blogging, Reading, Beauty, Fashion, Gaming, Travelling – Insight into a few of my hobbies!

Mostly everyone has hobbies! Some people like horse riding others prefer baking or sewing but I thought I would share with my you guys a few of my hobbies! So you guys get to know me a little better 🙂

  • I love reading! I love all genres and I think my top three favourites would have to be John Green’s Paper Towns and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and Finding Alaska also by John Green. I can read for hours if I have a good book and nothing to do, in my eyes sometimes it is like an escape to a different place and time 🙂
  • One of my other hobbies has to be gaming. I have been playing on games consoles since I was very young starting with my SEGA drive! From growing up playing sonic and tails on SEGA I grew up to love playing PlayStation and Xbox as well.
  • Obviously I have a passion for blogging, beauty and fashion otherwise I wouldn’t be doing what I love to do which is blog about all those things. I enjoy blogging and having new followers and getting to look at everyone else’s unique blogs too 🙂
  • I have previously wrote a post about my love for travelling and the wanderlust that I have for it. In the future after University I aim to travel to many places and make it an avid hobby.
  • In the picture below you will see a painting set and that is because in my free time I like to paint and draw as much as I can, I find it relaxing and enjoyable 🙂
  • If I’m not reading a good book or a newspaper then I’m 100% likely to be devouring a fashion magazine, I love them it’s a sweet simple addiction.
  • Finally I love to bake cakes, cookies or anything sweet! I like cooking but nothing is more fun than baking! 🙂

Well I hope you liked that little insight into my hobbies 🙂 Follow/Like.
