Manuka Doctor Purified Bee Venom & Manuka Honey Skincare Review!*

So the lovely people over at Manuka Doctor were kind enough to send me some samples of some of their amazing products! I was super excited as I have had Manuka cream before but never with purified bee venom! (Sounds scary but it’s not!). I know that Manuka honey has a wide range of health benefits for skin and body and I love to try things that will make my skin feel healthier, so I waited patiently for the post to bring these exciting little samples for me to review and when I got them I was over the moon with joy! 🙂

I got two little boxes with three sachets in one and three mini tubes in the other, the first box with sachets contained apiclear Skin Treatment Serum, apinourish Rejuvenating Face Mask and apirefine Targeted Wrinkle Filler. The front of the little box states that the apiclear Skin Treatment serum is clinically proven to significantly improve blemish prone skin in just three weeks whilst the apinourish Rejuvenation Face Mask states purified bee venom is clinically proven to help skin’s elasticity and lastly the apirefine Targeted Wrinkle Filler mentions that it is clinically proven to reduce wrinkles in just 30 minutes! The second little box was slightly different to the first as it contained three mini tubes, one Rejuvenating Face Mask, one Age-Defying Serum and one Restoring night cream all containing Manuka honey and purified bee venom.

Firstly I tried the apiclear Skin Treatment Serum as I have had terrible skin in the past and a week or so ago I had a spot or two (Eeek!) on top of that my skin easily scars after spots vanish so I thought that this would be a good serum to try first. The little sachet lasted me a good few days and the serum is not at all greasy or sticky and dries relatively quickly which is excellent! It smells rather nice as well which is always a bonus when buying beauty products and creams. After a few days using the apiclear Skin Treatment Serum I did notice that my there was something different about my skin, I wasn’t sure what it was to be exact but my skin just looked healthier and a lot better!

I went on to try the Rejuvenating Face Mask both in the tube form and the sachet, I loved this sample especially as the face mask was easily applicable to the face and was refreshing as well. I used the face mask nearly every day or so and eventually I did indeed run out of this one the quickest out of all the samples because I was using it often, but it did leave my skin feeling soft and also really clean – which I love when I buy face washes!

As for the Restoring Night Cream I used this frequently every night as well since the sample arrived in the post and it has been such a nice cream to put on before bed. I usually hate night creams, I hate how they’re mostly all greasy or smell strange but this one is different, it smells beautiful and it’s thin and applies easily and also dries quickly which are all factors I love about any sort of cream especially night cream! 🙂

The Targeted Wrinkle Filler and Age Defying Serum are both products I have never tried before, I am young still (I’m 20) and wrinkles are something I don’t have to worry about for a while however judging by the quality and efficiency of the other samples I bet this would also be a great buy! But I will keep them and at some point in the future when I need them most I shall try them also.

On top of all this I am super happy that all these products do not harm the bee’s in anyway, shape or form as mentioned on their website here: http://www.manukadoctor.co.uk/purified-bee-venom 🙂

I’d love to thank Manuka Doctor for sending me some excellent samples and I am definitely going to be buying some of their skincare range in the future!

Sleeping beauty – Nightly Regime!

Sleeping beauty I am not, however I’d love to be! (not the sleeping forever part though, forget that!)

Every night I follow pretty much a small simple routine using some of my favourite products and I thought I would give you a little insight!

So let’s start with my skin, well luckily all through my teenage life I never really had spots and I rarely ever got them, then BAM! all my luck was gone and little mountains of grossness popped up on my face every so often and got me all stressed! (Still happens now but less often luckily…) well anyway I have tried ENDLESS and I mean ENDLESS products, probably wasted so much money and effort on using things that pledged to me that it would make my skin ravishing again sadly to no prevail.

So it’s very rare I come across any products and I’m like “wow it actually works!?” but these little bits I’m about to show you have gained a place of honour on my blog due to actually making a difference to my skin. So let’s get started…

Clean and Clear Advantage Fast Action Daily Wash
Freederm Fast track spot gel
Organic Manuka Honey Rescue Cream
Tri-Peptox Collagen Overnight Recharge Cream

The daily wash leaves my face feeling fresh and cleaner, the freederm gel is my go to spot saviour and the Manuka honey rescue cream and collagen overnight cream are both so amazing at making my face soft and revitalized!

Is there anything you’d suggest or have I mentioned something you’ve used to? Comment/tweet/follow on bloglovin! 🙂

Skin Care Product Reviews – Freederm Sensitive Facial Wash & Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all having an excellent summer and are making the most of the little bit of sun we are having here in England! For my abroad readers, England is usually very rainy and cold but lately we have had such hot weather which is a lovely change!

I know I have not been blogging as much as I usually would and that’s because I have been rather busy and thus not had the time to blog as much but on the positive side that means I have more to blog about and reviews to post because it has been a while! yay 🙂

So I thought I would start with a skin care post about some items that I have recently brought and review the good and bad points of each of them. So lets start…

  1. Freederm Sensitive Facial Wash For Spot Prone Skin 150ml
So when I brought this face wash I had very high expectations because I have always heard such good things about the brand Freederm. So I chose this face wash as I was having a bit of a spot issue! The wash itself is quite nice, definitely not thick in consistence or weight in hand and it also smooths easily over your face which is great.
The face wash itself is pink and looks similar to the hair gel! This face wash is meant to control excess oil and also deeply cleanse pores, I think personally it does work quite well but it’s nothing much different from other facial washes sadly.
  2. Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash Skin Balancing Cleanser I actually got this face wash as a freebie with a magazine which I was happy about, it is a brand that is gaining more and more credibility so I was quite happy to get this freebie. The wash states for normal to combination skin and is 98.8% from natural origins which is great for the environment and very naturally healthy for your skin because there are more or less no chemicals or harmful substances in this face wash unlike many other brands. The actual ingredients of the face wash are spruce knot, rice bran oil, frankincense, ylang ylang and grapefruit which is quite a natural mixture of things.
When I tried the wash for the first time it felt quite creamy and personally I hated the smell of it! But I still use it, I believe it works nicely on my skin and just rejuvenates my skin that bit more.

T-Zone Deep Cleansing 4 in 1 Invigorating Cooling Scrub With Tea Tree, Menthol & Orange Extract

So I thought that I would try this T-Zone 4 in 1 scrub that I found out shopping, it was half price so I thought I’d give it a go. So how would I rate this product? I love it! It doesn’t make my troublesome skin automatically disappear when I need it too but it smells wonderful and if you love the smell of orange you’ll love this scrub!

The exfoliating beads are not rough like many other scrubs and the formula is not too thick nor too runny so it seems a good balance in consistency. It’s deep cleansing and naturally anti bacterial which is always a bonus but I know with many of these products that contain salicylic acid or tea tree that many people worry their skin will dry out which of course is a possibility and believe me its happened to me before as well but its all about finding a great product that contains these ingredients but which doesn’t dry your skin out, or what I do sometimes if I like a product but it dries my skin out is to moisturize afterwards with some hydrating cream! 🙂

Overall I do like this scrub as it smells nice and its refreshing as well once applied!
