Skin Care Product Reviews – Freederm Sensitive Facial Wash & Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all having an excellent summer and are making the most of the little bit of sun we are having here in England! For my abroad readers, England is usually very rainy and cold but lately we have had such hot weather which is a lovely change!

I know I have not been blogging as much as I usually would and that’s because I have been rather busy and thus not had the time to blog as much but on the positive side that means I have more to blog about and reviews to post because it has been a while! yay ūüôā

So I thought I would start with a skin care post about some items that I have recently brought and review the good and bad points of each of them. So lets start…

  1. Freederm Sensitive Facial Wash For Spot Prone Skin 150ml
So when I brought this face wash I had very high expectations because I have always heard such good things about the brand Freederm. So I chose this face wash as I was having a bit of a spot issue! The wash itself is quite nice, definitely not thick in consistence or weight in hand and it also smooths easily over your face which is great.
The face wash itself is pink and looks similar to the hair gel! This face wash is meant to control excess oil and also deeply cleanse pores, I think personally it does work quite well but it’s nothing much different from other facial washes sadly.
  2. Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash Skin Balancing Cleanser I actually got this face wash as a freebie with a magazine which I was happy about, it is a brand that is gaining more and more credibility so I was quite happy to get this freebie. The wash states for normal to combination skin and is 98.8% from natural origins which is great for the environment and very naturally healthy for your skin because there are more or less no chemicals or harmful substances in this face wash unlike many other brands. The actual ingredients of the face wash are spruce knot, rice bran oil, frankincense, ylang ylang and grapefruit which is quite a natural mixture of things.
When I tried the wash for the first time it felt quite creamy and personally I hated the smell of it! But I still use it, I believe it works nicely on my skin and just rejuvenates my skin that bit more.

Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamin & Extracts Scrub (Avocado and Pomegranate)

Lately my skin has not been amazingly great, due to the fact I probably haven’t ate very good foods to promote healthy skin (That’ll all change though!) and I have felt a little stressed as well so my skin has suffered naturally promoting spots ūüė¶ So when I was in Superdrug the other day I picked up Clearasil Daily Clear Vitamin¬†& Extracts Scrub (Avocado and Pomegranate) in the hope that it would revive my skin a little!

This scrub apparently contains vitamins like vitamin E and contains avocado and pomegranate extracts which promote healthier skin with the aid of anti oxidants and exfoliating beads. The formula itself is quite thick in consistency but is not hard to rub in, I was super excited to use this product but sadly it has had no prevail to my skin, I have been using it for just about a week and have not seen much improvement, but perhaps I am hoping this is due to the fact I need to use it a little longer so I will keep on using it and see how it goes ūüôā

The scrub itself smells delicious and I love the Clearasil brand as I believe in their promises and aims (Not sure why?! They just seem more reliable) but this product does not seem to be as powerful as their usual stuff which is kind of a down point. However overall I do still love this product regardless and will continue to give it a second chance ūüôā

Saturday Blogger Interviews ‚Äď Blogger Trina

Image

Name: Trina

Location: NY, NY

Age: 22(23 on 5/22!)

Twitter: @trinawears

What three things do you blog about most:  I blog about music(every Monday), fashion and skincare!

Name three words to describe your blog: Three words I would use would be versatile, fashionable, and eclectic!

When did you first start blogging:¬†Oh man, I’ve had several blogs throughout the years but never kept up with it until now! I started this blog in November, but I say January because¬†that’s¬†when I began to take it seriously.¬†

Why did you begin to blog: I absolutely love blogs and I read them daily, and I wanted to have a creative outlet to show the things that I love!

What‚Äôs one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers:¬†Be yourself! If you plan to blog for attention, or products, or anything other than loving what you’re doing, it will fail to be fun or rewarding and you’ll eventually stop.¬†
*bonus tip* Find the blogging community on twitter and talk to people! It makes blogging so much fun!

Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time:¬†Definitely. For the first time, I honestly love my blog and I’m so excited to continue!

What‚Äôs one of the best things about being a blogger:¬†The community, hands down! I’ve made new friends and had SO much fun doing it and sharing my blog with other bloggers!¬†

Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way:¬†It’s given me a hobby, which I felt for so long I had no hobby and felt like I had nothing “cool” to do on my spare time. This is so different than any other hobby my friends have and I love that as well.¬†

Garnier Skin Naturals Youthful Radiance Green Mint & Grape Anti-Oxidants Multi-Active Cleansing Gel Review

So the other day I was in the supermarket food shopping and I decided to take a detour down the make up and beauty aisle which is where I found this little beauty – Garnier Skin Naturals Youthful Radiance Mutli-Active Cleansing Gel in Green Mint and Grape Anti-Oxidents 200ml ūüôā

I decided to buy it because it was so cheap and give it a go, admittedly I have lots of exfoliators and washes but I really wanted to give this a go as it seemed different to other face cleansers. I got home excited and happy to try out my new face cleansing gel and was pleasantly surprised by the results I got after using it, the cleansing gel itself smells amazing and its so smooth and clear making it an easy application to the face. This multi-active cleansing gel is meant to remove impurities, boost radiance and smooth out any facial lines that are unpleasant so I had high hopes, the cleansing itself is Green mint and Grape anti-oxidants so I thought this would be a nice treat for my face instead of the usual harsh exfoliators.
Overall I was pleased with the new cleansing gel that I got and it has a lot of advantages, making my face fresher and getting rid of extra impurities and make up that my make up wipes miss so I am very happy with this buy! ūüôā

4 things I use for clearer skin!

Okay so some point in our lives we will suffer spots, acne or dry flaky skin right? It’s something that can make many girls feel insecure or under pressure to sort out, I too was one of those girls in secondary school that didn’t have spots for a while and I¬†genuinely¬†believed maybe this problem may have missed me out to which I was happy with!¬†However around the age of 16 on wards I started to break out in spots now and then, I didn’t really ever have acne but I did suffer like most with occasional big red spots – you know the ones that you cant hide. Now I want to reassure anyone reading this if they have spots or are worried they will get them that it is perfectly natural and everyone and I mean EVERYONE will get them at some point in their life, so stop worrying ūüôā

I was the type of girl and still am that worries over having clear skin, so I thought I would share 4 things that I use for clearer skin and that I love:

  1. No7 Beautiful Skin Purifying Exfoliator for Normal/Dry skin 75ml.
Now I love this, I got this amazing No7 Exfoliator for a bargain with a voucher I received so it was half price but it’s not that expensive anyway so that’s a plus. One of the reasons I love this is because some exfoliators can be very harsh however the beads in this are small and easy to rub in which helps remove dead skin cells and it’s also meant to make your skin much brighter and healthy.
I personally think this product is great and when it runs out I definitely plan to buy some more. They do different ones in the No7 range for different skin types as well which is great!
  2. Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash and Mask by Neutrogena 150ml.
I have had this for a while now and the bottle still feels full! I love it because it smells so fresh and it feels nice when you wear it as a mask or just using it for a wash because the mixture is so creamy. I think it’s great because it unclogs pores and helps reduce spots which makes it great that it’s a two in one!
  3. Clearasil Ultra Overnight Wash 150ml.
This is a product that I have used endlessly because I find it works, it doesn’t just tell me it’ll reduce my spots size by the morning but it actually does it! This is a winner for them big red spots that you want smaller and less noticeable by tomorrow and I love it¬†because¬†it gets rid of dirt and oil¬†effectively¬†as well and it smells quite¬†pleasant.
  4. Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control 3-in-1 Daily Cleansing Lotion by Neutrogena 200ml.
My last item on my 4 things I use for clearer skin is this. It’s always handy to have a lotion for when you haven’t got time to exfoliate or wash your face and with this one I love it because it deeply cleanses, reduces excess oil and helps prevent and clear spots. The smell of this though is rather strong and sometimes¬†overpowering¬†but never the less an awesome product that I love.

Well hope you liked my post ūüôā Like/Follow/Add on twitter MaryLouise_G
