So today is day seven and I am posting on time (wooo!) and today was ‘The Sky’ which was an awful coincidence because the weather today was appalling – cold, wet, rainy and cloudy! However luckily on my way home I saw the best skyline which I thought deserved to take pride of place in the 30 day challenge as day 7 and that’s because the skyline was moving into the evening and this meant that the sky was a beautiful tangerine colour and I just had to snap that up! 🙂
In January I went on holiday to Gran Canaria with my partner, although me and my partner have been together for ages it was our first time going abroad together and that was mainly because we are students and the bank balance is not always smiling upon us!
Gran Canaria is part of the Canary Islands, the weather according to my handy guide book told me that it would be nothing less than 20 degrees which I was happy enough with considering that England is always most of the time raining anyway. So once we had picked Gran Canaria we had to book all our tickets and such which was left down to me, bearing in mind I am not only clumsy but forgetful I was a constantly worried the whole way there that I forgot something or booked it wrong! Thankfully that wasn’t the case and I can say I successfully can book a holiday without messing up the details – Woohoo! 🙂
The holiday itself was amazing, we got to see and do a lot! (I even held two parrots! ;)) we went to San Agustin and the beach and the surroundings were lovely, our resort had a massive pool and crazy slides so the child in me came out and I couldn’t resist going down them even with a full face of make up!
But overall it was brilliant, if you ever get a chance to go then do! Here’s some holiday snaps below…
So as you know I have been away for quite some time now and that is because I have had a looooong blogging break, I think one is needed every now and then when things just get too much. Sometimes trying to balance University, writing articles for various magazines and other stuff gets a little hectic! But long story short I have returned and I hope to bring you some brilliant posts which you’ll enjoy 🙂 I will be posting regularly but not thousands of articles each day as I have said I have university to think of as I am now in my second year and I want to do well as well 🙂
Over the summer I spent my time at home with my family and partner making the most of the sun, I brought a swimming pool and used it once (Stupid rain!) , got another tattoo, I went to London and went sightseeing, stayed up all night playing Batman Arkham Asylum, went to watch Wolverine at the cinema and moved into our new apartment for our second year at university as well just to name a few little things I did. I hope your summers went well as well! 🙂
So as most of you who follow me on my journey to become a fashion journalist, I am doing well in that respect as I have a lot of writing experience now and my work is published online and in print (Two pictures below of printed articles) in various magazines and one day I hope to make it to Vogue! Or that is the plan at least 😉
Well good bye for now and I shall be posting soon!
So it’s the beginning of the month June & so far it’s been rather sunny and wonderful, so I thought I would do a little post about June so far! 🙂 I have been happily sunbathing with my partner and also just spending some time working on my blog, although I have a little bit of writers block at the moment 😦 I have great ideas but just can’t seem to concentrate enough to write posts, which sucks! I am sure it’ll all get back to normal soon and I’ll be happily posting constantly again 🙂 Anyway happy June everyone! 😀
Today was my first day being back at home, I must admit it was super nice to wake up in my double bed in my house and feel at home! I haven’t been home for about 4 months now as I have been away at University in Leeds as you would’ve known if you’re a constant follower of mine! 🙂 I’ve missed being at home and missed seeing my family, but I thought to mark the occasion of me being back at home I will write a little post about my outfit of the day today!
Me and my parents went to town and just went to Costa to grab a coffee and catch up so today I wore:
- My blue skinny jeans
- My tan boots
- My leather black jacket
- A mustard dark brown fitted jumper with cute shoulder buttons!
- My new handbag – which is beautiful 🙂
It was super sunny today so the picture is a little bright, but that’s my overall outfit of the day for a casual day out 🙂
Hope you all are having a lovely day!
Just a quick reminder, if you haven’t already it would be wonderful if you could like and share my Facebook blog page as it means a lot and the support is wonderful!
New content will be posted there as well! 🙂
Thank you lovelies!
I went to Ibiza for my 16th birthday but it wasn’t a generic ‘lets go party my life away’ holiday it was a beautiful family holiday and my 16th birthday present from my parents! Ibiza is such a beautiful island, really unforgettable, if you haven’t visited then go! There is something for everyone whether you want to party or just relax.
So it got me thinking about holiday fashion, specifically fashion in Ibiza and what I wore when I went and things. Something that I thought of was the fashion style that people adapt while they go away for example someone who usually wears jeans and baggy tops everyday will change when they go on holiday and you’ll see them in long brightly coloured maxi dresses and such and I love the contrast and adaption people take on – Even I do it! So I thought I would do a little fashion hot spot post about fashion in Ibiza because the styles and varieties of clothing are so broad and creative, So if you go to Ibiza check out a few of these outfits to get ideas!
Bright colours is what it’s all about and in Ibiza everyone loves vibrant and bold outfits, contrasting tones of outfits as well is something that makes a great statement for example mixing a black skirt with a burnt orange vest could make the style statement of the year you never know till you dare to mix and match! Shorts, heels, long maxi dresses, cut out vests and denim jackets seem to always be holiday favourites so why not give them a go yourself? Just don’t wear your heels on the beach! But then that is common sense haha 🙂

So today has been very warm here in England and very sunny for a change so I decided to take a chance and leave my coat at home crossed my fingers it wouldn’t rain and went out in a polka dot dress! This is a dress I got a few years back and it still fits which is great, it’s black with beige polka dots and cute little brass buttons at the front.
I actually brought this dress from Primark for around about £3 a couple summers ago so for £3 it’s lasted me a good while which is always great if something lasts for ages after you brought it! You can pretty much wear it with anything, but today as I was in a rush I went for black tights and cardigan – Not very bright but a good outfit all the same. If I had more time it probably would’ve been brighter and bolder but when your in a rush it’s hard to choose things that match as well as colour co-ordination! Hope you all enjoy 🙂
This is one of my favourite trends that is making its comeback this Summer and I love it! I really love the laid back relaxed festival boho look – What I really love about this look is that it can be interpreted in different ways and people can make it what they want it to be, it has so much room for adventure and bravery with regards to new outfits and such which makes it a really great look that anyone can pull off, even if you’re not going to a festival!
So I put together a little collaboration of all the sort of things that would/could make a great boho or festival look! Enjoy 🙂
So I thought I’d write a little piece on some places I have been before because as you know I love travelling! I intend to travel a lot more when I finish University and get a decent stable career to fund my travels. I think my main purpose of travelling is the fact that I want to see the world, I love learning and experiencing different cultures and seeing famous buildings and monuments. All of this excites me! I haven’t been to loads of places because I only got my passport in my teenage years and so I have only been to a few places but that was enough for me to realise I love travelling, I love the excitement of getting to the airport, seeing the planes, the take off and landings, the butterflies in your stomach when you know you’re in the air finally and them little meals you get on board!
So with that in mind I thought I would share with you the few places I have been before up until now.
Belgium – This was a school trip to Ypres in Belgium. We went as a history class to visit the battlefields, museums and Menin gate, we actually only went for one day so it was a pretty long day as we had to get a ferry there and back (My first time on a ferry). Because it was my first time on a ferry I had no idea what to expect, I’m petrified of the sea (well going in it! I still think it’s beautiful though) and I was worried the whole way that the ferry would sink. I think I even googled it the night before we went how to survive if a ferry sinks! Silly me! Anyway the whole trip was alright and we got to visit some great historic places and at the end we were allowed to go into one of Belgium’s best chocolate shops 🙂
Ibiza – This was a birthday present trip from my parents for my 16th Birthday. It was the first time I ever stepped foot on a plane and I loved it! My dad ordered us food for the journey and I was so excited, they had planned it so we left two days before my birthday so I turned 16 when I was out there. We went to an all inclusive resort called Palladium Palace in Playa Den Bossa and was right on the beach! With two massive outdoor pools, food 24-7 and comfortable rooms I was in paradise! I’m a big nature person so when we got to Ibiza I was so thrilled to be able to see little lizards up so close and other exotic animals and birds – Even saw Flamingos! We toured round most of the island and went to Las Salinas (Well known celebrity hot spot with a beautifully stunning beach) we also went to Santa Eulalia, Portinatx and other great towns 🙂
Helsinki – On the way to Japan (I’m getting to that after this!) We stopped briefly in Helsinki and I loved the fact it is the home of the moomin, everything I saw to buy was moomin based and it was adorable! But Helsinki was also very beautiful and natural as well with very polite people.
Japan – So in 2011 I went to Japan to visit my brother who lives there, I was a bit nervous about this journey as it was 16 hours long with only an hour stop meaning this was the longest journey I will probably ever go on… I was excited though to see my brother and experience Japanese culture for a week. When we boarded the plane we got bottle of water, pillows, blankets, headphones and eye masks for the long journey ahead of us. The journey actually was quite fun but tedious in places, I stayed up most of time just listening to music from all around the world on the in seat computer and thinking, we got there early in the morning and the time difference made me slightly jet lagged so when we got to my brothers apartment we slept for a few hours and then we all went out so my brother could show us his local area – Nagoya. He showed us some really beautiful temples and shrines, wildlife and views from the city. The next couple of days was spent touring areas, shrines, temples and shops of Japan, which was awesome! We went to Nagoya, Kyoto, Sakai and various other cities, but I think my favourite place was the Kiyomizudera Temple in Kyoto it was beautiful to say the least! I loved this place especially because I got to have a go at the Otowa waterfall where there is three streams of water and you get given a cup on a long stick and you choose to drink out of one of the fountains, each has a different benefit (Love, Success in school or Longevity I believe) but I loved this temple and all the other little parts of it because it was set in the beautiful mountain side with amazing views.
All in all this is a little bit on my travels and in the future I hope to add some more ! 🙂 (Photos from Japan below, Sadly I lost most of them from Ibiza, Helsinki and Belgium 😦 But there is two from Ibiza but they’re terrible quality! But all photos are mine)
