If you had to think of 8 random things you love, what would they be? Some may come to you straight away and others may take a while and then you think “I love that!” and you had forgotten why you love those things! Well I thought I would do a list of 8 random things I love, some might even be the same as you! 🙂
The sound of rain – There is something so peaceful about the sounds of rainfall, I like when it properly pours down heavily and the sound as it hits the ground and all the houses. (I don’t however like getting cold and getting my hair wet though!) (Click here for GIF source!)
Eating delicious goodies – muffins, cakes, cookies, brownies the list is endless and to me nothing is better than coming home from uni, sitting down with a cup of tea and a muffin with a magazine or newspaper! (Click here for GIF source!)
Honey Boo Boo – If you don’t know who this little girl is Google her! To some she’s an inspiration, to others she’s full of comedy gold as the quote goes, I remember watching her and her family in the first series like WHAT AM I WATCHING?! but I love it and I love the meme’s and GIFS that come with the fame of being Honey Boo Boo! (Click here for GIF source!)
Funny animals – Oh how magical it is that the internet is flooded with animals doing all sorts of funny, crazy and cute things! (Click here for GIF souce!)
When a great song comes on the music channels, turning it up super loud and jumping around the room – There’s really nothing more to add to that one ahah! (Click here for GIF source!)
The feeling I get when I finish an essay or assignment – OH RELIEF!!! No more staying up all night, I can actually sleep, eat and do whatever I want again! Wooooo! (Click here for GIF source!)
Holiday excitement – You know when you’re going away on holiday or you just booked a holiday and you imagine yourself chilling on the beach, relaxing with a cocktail in hand or trekking and seeing all the sights and you get all excited inside! (Click here for GIF source)
When I write blog posts + other bloggers appreciate them – Okay so sometimes I lack motivation to blog, but I love it when I put up posts and I get lots of lovely comments and likes, it’s always lovely to talk to other bloggers and see that they like my little blog 🙂 (Click here for GIF source!)
Well I hope you liked them 8 little things! Let me know if you have any of the same 🙂
Okay so it’s coming to the end of my first year in University which means I’ll no longer need to live in halls with 5 other people because I have a lease on a beautiful apartment with my partner for our second year so were excited to leave halls! I was thinking about some things that I have learnt from living in halls specifically and how I’ve learnt to cope with flatmates and all the drama and craziness that comes with it. So here it goes! 🙂
Your flatmates are just as nervous as you on your first day moving in, On my first day at halls I unpacked my things, my parents said their goodbyes and sadly had to leave. I sat in my chair and burst out crying to which then led one of my new flatmates to come in and give me hug to cheer me up and explained she felt the same but she’s next door if I want to chat so I’m not alone.
The first few weeks no one touches your food out of shyness and respect, then BAM! after a month or so you start to realise your shopping is disappearing and its not going into your tummy but someone else’s instead!
You wont like all your flatmates and they wont all like you. When you first move in everyone is friendly to each other, they will talk to you and get to know you a bit better and then once you’ve all been stuck in the same apartment for such a long time arguments and disagreements form, bitching happens and things are not as rosy as they were in the beginning anymore.
You may get a flat of people who overly clean or you may get flatmates who have low standards of hygiene, your flat is a pick’n’mix of students remember not everyone will have the same outlook as you on things such as cleaning up or tidying.
Everyone insists on playing their music on the loudest volume possible. When you come to halls it seems everyone wants to be a DJ for your whole flat! This is a sure fire way to annoy any flatmates as well, especially if your trying to revise for an exam the next day or you don’t like their taste in music.
So that’s five little thing’s I have learnt from personal experience at Uni halls 🙂
