So I decided to attempt the 30 day crunch challenge, something which has been circulating the internet for some time now and after reading reviews from celebrities and other girls saying it worked I thought I might as well give it a go!
Crunches are basically sit ups and this is to tone and build your stomach muscles, something which I particularly want to do in preparation for Summer. So I will attach the picture below for the amount of crunches you need to do each day, I am currently on day 3 so tomorrow is my day of rest luckily! But I can definitely feel it working already, my tummy muscles are starting to get tighter and I can see a change as well in before I started and 3 days in already.
Lately I feel as if I need and want to get fitter so I spent ages trying to find something, I didn’t want to diet or do some crazy detox so I think for now I will stick with exercise which is always good and healthy. So I will let you know how I am progressing with that (or if I give up!) and hopefully after day 30 I will have a toned tum! 😀
Okay so I thought I would do ten little things I may not have mentioned before about me and I hope this helps you to feel like you know me better 🙂 Enjoy!
I used to be Hello Kitty crazy – Quite literally not long ago everything I had was Hello Kitty, some may see it as babyish but quite a few people saw it as cute and I liked it so went with it. Now I am older I sort of fell out of love with the idea of Hello Kitty now I just buy my nieces pieces of clothing and things with it on instead of myself!
I am not a big fan of the sun – This sounds weird, but sometimes I do not like the sun at all and would prefer if it rained or snowed. Although I am partial to some sunbathing when it is sunny outside!
I was to scared to read the Goosebumps books – FACT. The front covers scared me and I never read them at all and probably wont ever.
I am rather tall – Around about 5’8 – 5’9 something which I love and hate at the same time.
I always used swap career aspirations – Until now I have always swapped career aspirations, you name it I wanted to be it once. Nurse, army soldier, firefighter, baker, lawyer, teacher… the list goes on but I think that partly is because when you’re growing up you do not know what you want to be therefore you imagine most jobs in a blissful and spectacular way when in reality there are advantages and disadvantages in every occupation. Now I am set on being a fashion journalist/editor and I am working towards that!
I have a double jointed thumb – It sounds gross when you say it, but if you Google it or whatever all it means is my thumb can move back further than usual, hard to explain I am sure there are some YouTube videos you can watch that would explain it better visually 🙂
I love pets – I used to have to 2 Russian Dwarf hamsters, a goldfish named Jaws that came from the circus and a German Shepard dog 🙂
I used to be a tomboy – I cringe every time I think back to how I dressed and looked.
This time last year I was worrying about… – Getting into University and getting a job!
In A level we studied Frankenstein and Dracula, out of the two Franky was by far the best book and I learnt Dracula was just a book about sexually frustrated people according to my teacher.
So this July I am moving into our new apartment for our second year at University and to say I am excited is an understatement! Halls has been a roller coaster of crazy times, there was times when I played pranks, times when my flatmates drove me insane, times when we all argued over the cleanliness of the flat, so now it is coming to end I decided to share ten things I definitely won’t be missing! 🙂
The sound of my flatmates playing their guitars at like 2am in the morning or watching a film on full volume in the early hours of the morning.
The arguments over who takes the bin out because it gets left so long the person who has to take it out has to make at least two trips from our 3rd floor flat to the bins.
Walking up and down three flights of stairs everyday.
Not having enough space to keep my clothes or things because my room is so tiny!
People stealing my food, it’ll be great to be able to go shopping for food and actually eat what I buy.
So that’s five small things I am rather looking forward to not being in halls, hope you enjoyed it 🙂
So everyone has things they miss from their childhood right? You may agree on some of these things with me, I myself was born in 1993 and the thing’s I am about to list are things that I loved when I was growing up! 🙂
Here it goes 🙂
Watching cartoons– Remember Arthur? Little bear? Rupert? Those shows made my childhood!
Sega Drive – When I first played on my SEGA drive I never knew I’d grow up to love video games so much, thinking back to the graphics and quality of games to now is crazy!
Pokemon – I miss the mornings I got to watch Pokemon whilst getting ready for school, it was too cool.
Inflatable chairs – One of the best things ever…I had an inflatable green chair, I remember when everyone was going crazy for inflatable things, I even had a backpack! After I blew it up of course first.
Tamagotchi – Not the new ones that are around today but the really old kind of tamagotchi and I got my first one on holiday and it was baby pink and in the shape of an egg, my parents brought me and my siblings all one and I loved mine thought it was incredible.
Films – I once watched a film with my dad called The Tenth Kingdom, as scary as it was this was a great film still and even to this day after 13 years of it’s release and of me watching it I still remember the key parts!
Barbies – I had various barbies but my favourite was one that was mermaid whose tail changed colours in the bath and one where I could highlight her hair with some accessory thing I got with her, I miss these.
Stickonearrings – Those tiny little stick on earrings that came in the shape of moons and hearts, I liked them but they often got stuck in my hair or somewhere and I usually only ended up with one left…
Beanie Babies – I collected them for a long and perilous amount of time, there are bags of them at my parents house.
Jellyshoes – I proudly can say I owned a pair of silver glittery jelly heeled shoe sandals that I wore everywhere, even school. Apparently they sell them in some retailers now for adults so may just grab a pair! 🙂
Furbies – I had a furby and it was grey, I loved it till it kept me up all night every night with its talking and squeaking…then it found a nice home in the spare room away from me.
Well that is all for now guys hope you liked that little insight 🙂 Subscribe/follow or like 🙂
So last night I watched The Life Of Pi, anyone who has read my previous posts and my about me section will know I absolutely love movies! So since last night I watched the film and I decided to do a little review on it, it’ll only be small because as we all know it came out last year so it’s not new but I’m doing it for the people who may not have seen it! 🙂
Okay so the introduction into the story was good and smooth but perhaps took a little too long to get into the actual story of things, which for some people can be a problem as they become disinterested! but if you give it a chance and persevere then the story itself is quite cool as it goes along. One of the things I didn’t like is that the trailer made the film out to be magical which is was but there was a lot of gore and emotional parts to it as well, something which touched a nerve (as the saying goes) when I watched it. There were parts where I felt happy and enjoyed it but the beginning itself of the actual story and some parts throughout were really quite shocking in my opinion, some parts of the story as well skipped itself I believe like at one point there was a shark circling Pi on a tiny raft and then it skipped to him on a boat and the shark no where around…
Overall the story itself is a little bit crazy (Meerkats randomly on an island in the ocean that no one has ever heard of or seen?) but I guess that’s part of the whole magical experience that Pi went through, it’s more of a story about Pi finding belief than anything – which is nice. So in all don’t judge the film till you see it, it’s more adventurous and dramatic than you probably think! 🙂
A while ago (roughly 2 years ago) I started writing a bucket list of things I want to do, being ambitious and someone who loves new things and adventures my list has some pretty crazy things on it, but also some very cool easy going things that I wanted to do and try as well! My list is phenomenally long going into the hundreds so I thought I’d share 15 random things that are on it! 🙂
Swim with sharks – I genuinely really want to do this more than anything, I love sharks they’re my favourite animal and I know an incredible useless amount of knowledge on them as well but I think they’re great because they’re fierce and beautiful at the same time. I think to start with I want to swim with sharks in an aquarium as I’m quite scared of the sea, but if I get over that fear then I’d like to swim with some different types of shark in the ocean as well, maybe Black tip reef sharks and whale sharks 🙂
Ride on an Elephant – I would love to ride on an Elephant, they’re so big and quite cute and I’d love to have a photo taken with one!
Go Skydiving – It would be undeniably scary but that’s part of the thrill I guess, plus you’d see some killer views on the way down which would be something unforgettable!
See Northern Lights – I know lots of people who want to do this as well, I think this would be amazing and a beautiful experience which I’d treasure.
Make 1000 Origami Cranes – There is a Japanese legend that whoever makes 1000 origami cranes will be granted a wish, this is something I’d love to do as I learnt how to make origami cranes really well, its just it would take a crazy amount of time!
Experience Holi or a colour festival – Holi is a festival celebrated mainly in India or Nepal and a colour festival is celebrated in South Africa Durban, I’d love to go to one of these events the powders looks so colourful and bright I think it would be amazing.
Go to a fashion show – I’d love to go to a big worldwide fashion show in one of the major cities this would be amazing to see the catwalks and designers as well as the upcoming latest styles.
Hold a bird of prey – Not many people wish to hold a bird of prey but I’m a little different, I love animals and I love to admire their beauty and birds of prey like Eagles are much like sharks in the sense that they are fierce but also beautiful.
Swim with Manta rays – I think manta rays are really incredible, I love how smooth and calm they are and I think it would be an unforgettable experience to swim with them.
Travel everywhere on my travel list – This is a big one that wont be completed for a long time, but will eventually be completed because I love travelling and aim to finish my list 🙂
Well that’s ten random things from my bucket list! Hope you enjoyed!
