So I went looking for something I handmade around my flat because today is the keyword ‘Handmade’. I love to make things, I’d say I am creative but whether I am any good at it is another story! The reason I love making things is because I personally find it fun and relaxing, so I tend to spend my time doing some arty things when I am not overflowed with coursework or doing seminar reading for uni! 🙂
The handmade item I chose is something I did last Summer after a day spent in London, my partner knows I love sharks so brought me a 3D wooden shark model kit to construct from the natural history museum so I spent a whole afternoon fixing all the pieces together to make a 3D shark and then I painted it! 🙂
Any things that you like to make or are proud of having made? Let me know! 🙂
This Summer there are many trends to be released and I thought I would focus on one specific one – Pastels. Pastels make some of the best colours for outfits because of the sweet innocent hues that are used, and it will be big this Summer! So I thought that I would show you guys some of the best pastel pieces that will be around! 🙂
Baby pink, powder blue, sweet honey yellow, mint green and summer orange are all big hits this Summer and I love them! They look so beautiful as an outfit or as an accessory and I think it gives the right impression of Summer, something sweet and playful.
Mostly everyone has hobbies! Some people like horse riding others prefer baking or sewing but I thought I would share with my you guys a few of my hobbies! So you guys get to know me a little better 🙂
I love reading! I love all genres and I think my top three favourites would have to be John Green’s Paper Towns and Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and Finding Alaska also by John Green. I can read for hours if I have a good book and nothing to do, in my eyes sometimes it is like an escape to a different place and time 🙂
One of my other hobbies has to be gaming. I have been playing on games consoles since I was very young starting with my SEGA drive! From growing up playing sonic and tails on SEGA I grew up to love playing PlayStation and Xbox as well.
Obviously I have a passion for blogging, beauty and fashion otherwise I wouldn’t be doing what I love to do which is blog about all those things. I enjoy blogging and having new followers and getting to look at everyone else’s unique blogs too 🙂
I have previously wrote a post about my love for travelling and the wanderlust that I have for it. In the future after University I aim to travel to many places and make it an avid hobby.
In the picture below you will see a painting set and that is because in my free time I like to paint and draw as much as I can, I find it relaxing and enjoyable 🙂
If I’m not reading a good book or a newspaper then I’m 100% likely to be devouring a fashion magazine, I love them it’s a sweet simple addiction.
Finally I love to bake cakes, cookies or anything sweet! I like cooking but nothing is more fun than baking! 🙂
Well I hope you liked that little insight into my hobbies 🙂 Follow/Like.
I love nail polish, I love the range of different colours you can buy and I’m impressed with the different types like glow in the dark or magnetic! Now I always usually keep up with my nails making sure that if they start chipping I either apply another coat or I just take it off all together. I tend to go for nail varnishes that will last a few days if not weeks and I myself tend to go for a range of colours but I always avoid yellow as it’s not a colour I like in the form of nail varnish but everyone’s different! 🙂
So I decided to do a small review of three of my favourite nail polishes:
Nails Inc, London Magnetic Polish in 052 Houses of Parliament.
This was a present from my sister and I love it! The colour is a really classy colour and I love the fact that the top of the lid has a magnet in it so when you hover it above the nail varnish it changes the pattern of it. Durability wise this is great as it lasts a long time around about a week I found and even longer with a clear coat on top! So a definite winner 🙂 I have used it loads of times and the bottle is still full! So this is great for someone who paints their nails loads of times and wants the bottle to last for the price. Only disadvantage is that if you lose the lid then you cant do anything about changing the pattern of it! So be careful.
Barry M Nail Paint in 352 Pink Sapphire Glitter.
I love this nail polish because it’s so glittery and sparkly! Especially in sun! The colour is a mixture of beautiful pieces of glitter in various pink shades and some silver as well. It’s one of my favourites because it goes with so many other nail polishes, especially pink based ones, it goes great as the top coat and creates a really cute look and its easy and fuss free.
Durability wise it last a rather long time which is good because I like my nail varnishes to last a good amount of time and plus with this one it minimizes cracking and chipping of the nails as well – Win!
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in 49 Dahlia .
I love this shade of pink! In the bottle it seems quite dark but on my hands it comes out rather bright and looks so glossy which is why I love it. It’s also very durable and can with stand all the day to day tasks your hands go through which is always a good point with regards to nail polish.
The bottle lasts a long time and the brush is a nice size as well which makes me love this nail varnish even more 🙂
Well that’s my little review on 3 of my favourite nail polishes! Hope you enjoyed 🙂
