In the heart of the voluminous and vibrant city of Leeds lies a beautiful shop full to the brim of vintage clothing from the 40’s right through until the late 80’s. I love this shop because of the sense of nostalgia and antique about it! So after emailing they kindly agreed to let me use some of their professional pictures so I could do a review about some of their brilliantly beautiful pieces of clothing! 🙂
I love this American Indian jumper/dress! It’s called the ‘Navaho Design Jumper’ and I love how it looks so inviting and warm, yet comfortable and vintage all at the same time. The patterning is bright and eye catching which is always a great aspect of a popular fashion piece, I also enjoy the thrills at the end and the fact it can be worn both as a dress or a jumper and can be combined with leggings or tights to create the individual look you want.
This next one comes from their 60’s range and is called the ‘Bronze Organza Prom Dress’ and I love it! The patterning and material seem to match perfectly and the colour is perfectly flattering, this is a wonderful choice of dress for anyone looking to accentuate their figure.
Lastly I really do adore this dress it’s so colourful and spontaneous! The dress itself is called ‘Pink and Black Velvet Flock Prom Dress’, personally I love the vibrant patterning and clash of colours that go so well and it goes perfectly with tights and the right pair of shoes! This shop has really impressed me with their vintage and unique range of clothing from the nostalgic era’s and I’m more than pleased to write a review for these fabulous pieces of clothing! I suggest to everyone that they take a look inside their shop before everything sells out! 🙂
Okay so my partner brought me this Warehouse blazer and I love it so I thought I would do an Outfit Of The Day for everybody to see how I wore it today! This is my very first Outfit Of The Day post and I am hoping it will be the first of many to come if it receives good views 🙂
So why do I love my blazer so much? Well… My blazer is a lovely shade of beige with some light brown stripes on it, I love it because it’s such a beautiful colour and can be matched with nearly everything! But today I chose to wear a plain black vest and blue skinny jeans so I looked casual with a hint of formal. I really am a big fan of blazers as I love to look and feel professional and quite classy but I also think they’re great because you can wear them with almost anything even casual attire, so a blazer is always on the top of my favourite pieces of clothing list. In my wardrobe I have tons of blazers but this is my new found favourite, it’s soft and warm and fitted which make it perfect in my eyes at least!
What else I love about blazers is that you can wear it in many different ways and still look great, sleeves rolled up or rolled down, buttoned up or unbuttoned – you name it it’ll work 🙂
So this is how I went to University today and I felt happy with the outfit I chose, I didn’t really use many accessories as I always wear quite a few bracelets anyway and I have a special necklace on which I keep on 24-7. But never the less I love accessories especially if they are cute, unique, big or bold! 🙂
Today I had my hospital appointment at 9am so I was awake really early (Something that I was only really used to back at home- now I’m just lazy), I didn’t get much sleep either so being tired made me feel horrid! Because I was up early it meant that I started my day early as well which was nice because today was warm and spring like 🙂 (Pictures at the bottom!)
After the hospital we walked all the way home which is like a 30 minute walk and then we decided that we would go on a little country walk since the weather was really nice and we had found a walking route. We started our adventure promptly, walking towards the opening of the forest walkway it looked something similar to a horror movie even despite the blissful sun, but we carried on because we were aiming to get to a beautiful viewing spot where you can see the whole city skyline! We walked for a good 20 minutes up hill through the countryside farms until we reached a field of horses which is where I saw my first baby foal in real life – It was uber cute! Being pretty tired we stopped to take photos and admire the horses when they suddenly decided to go on a rampage and get all protective so we left quite quickly because I got scared one might jump over the fence! (I’m a big chicken)
Sometime after this we finally reached the peak of the hill and we got a beautiful view of the Leeds city skyline which is really something 🙂 My partner made a joke about the lack of skyscrapers in Leeds and it went something like this ‘There’s hardly any skyscrapers, if spider man was swinging through the city he wouldn’t get anywhere’ which made me laugh :’)
We took lots of photos and made our way back home, we were both relieved to be able to rest and I had a good 6 hour nap to replenish my tired self 🙂 Sadly I’m back at uni tomorrow for lectures/seminars but what can you do… 😦 Nearly home for Summer though just got a few more weeks to go and then I’ll be blogging about my summer at home in North London which should be exciting and different! 😀
I hope you all had a nice day, follow follow follow 🙂 See you tomorrow!
