So I started my little blog challenge a few days later than I originally planned but let’s get a move on now it’s started! So day 1 was 10 facts about myself to share with you all. I’ve done a few of these before so apologies if you’ve already read a fact or two I’ve put before 🙂
I have a double jointed thumb. I happen to think it’s pretty cool, I always used this to my advantage playing thumb wars!
In less than a years time I will be graduating!
I like to put my make up on in the morning, wash my hair and paint my nails. I know some people hate these tasks but I love them!
I think I’m allergic to peel off face masks. This could of course be fact but also maybe just me assuming, as I’m not sure… (my skin starts burning, gets red and irritated and then stings when I use them so who knows!)
Sometimes I get overly worried and panicky.
Sometimes I am confident in myself, others times not so much.
I love Lasagna and cheese more than I should.
I have irrational fear of seals, killer whales and crocodiles.
I love sharks, they’re my fav!
I love going on holiday. (But doesn’t everyone!)
So that’s my little list of facts about me and I hope you liked it, tomorrow will be day 2 which is describing the last place I went on holiday so stick around! 🙂
So if you haven’t heard about ‘The Great Gatsby’ by now I am not sure where you’ve been! but don’t worry you can just Google it to catch up of course. Anyway I thought that I would do another Great Gatsby style related post, if you have been with me on my blogging journey from the start you’ll know that I did a post similar to this one about flapper dresses this time last year, but now more people are aware of the film and book I thought it would be good to do a bit of ground cover and go over it again!
There is something so nostalgically mystical about the 1920’s, it was a new era for everyone especially the ladies! who had come out of their Victorian shell and started to become more outgoing and independent! These ladies were fearless as it would seem, their make up was flawless and energetic and the icon of the ‘flapper girl’ came into action.
Flapper dresses were a massive hit, they were partially over the top, glitzy and extravagant. These dresses were a thing of the past until the emergence of ‘The Great Gatsby’ which revived the admiration and adoration for these loose fitting and stylish dresses.
I love films! I love movies and the cinema, cosy days and nights snuggled up on the sofa under a duvet with my partner watching a DVD with tons of sweets or sitting in the cinema with ice cream & snacks waiting for the movie to start, watching those terrible yet funny and intriguing trailers and ads! 🙂
So yesterday was day 13 and the keyword was film as you would’ve guessed by now, I’m posting a day late as I was having a film night last night and was to fixated watching the movies that I accidentally forgot to post till now but I did take a photo and the photo is some of our movie collection!
Let me know if you love movies or films just as much as me and if you have any suggestions! 🙂
I’ve seen a lot of these question posts around and I thought I would take a crack at it as it’s an excellent way to get to know someone more! I couldn’t find one online that I liked enough to do & I prefer to make up my own questions most of the time, so I thought up my own questions gathered from online and my imagination and put it in a little blog post! 🙂

So last night I watched The Life Of Pi, anyone who has read my previous posts and my about me section will know I absolutely love movies! So since last night I watched the film and I decided to do a little review on it, it’ll only be small because as we all know it came out last year so it’s not new but I’m doing it for the people who may not have seen it! 🙂
Okay so the introduction into the story was good and smooth but perhaps took a little too long to get into the actual story of things, which for some people can be a problem as they become disinterested! but if you give it a chance and persevere then the story itself is quite cool as it goes along. One of the things I didn’t like is that the trailer made the film out to be magical which is was but there was a lot of gore and emotional parts to it as well, something which touched a nerve (as the saying goes) when I watched it. There were parts where I felt happy and enjoyed it but the beginning itself of the actual story and some parts throughout were really quite shocking in my opinion, some parts of the story as well skipped itself I believe like at one point there was a shark circling Pi on a tiny raft and then it skipped to him on a boat and the shark no where around…
Overall the story itself is a little bit crazy (Meerkats randomly on an island in the ocean that no one has ever heard of or seen?) but I guess that’s part of the whole magical experience that Pi went through, it’s more of a story about Pi finding belief than anything – which is nice. So in all don’t judge the film till you see it, it’s more adventurous and dramatic than you probably think! 🙂
