So I started my little blog challenge a few days later than I originally planned but let’s get a move on now it’s started! So day 1 was 10 facts about myself to share with you all. I’ve done a few of these before so apologies if you’ve already read a fact or two I’ve put before 🙂
I have a double jointed thumb. I happen to think it’s pretty cool, I always used this to my advantage playing thumb wars!
In less than a years time I will be graduating!
I like to put my make up on in the morning, wash my hair and paint my nails. I know some people hate these tasks but I love them!
I think I’m allergic to peel off face masks. This could of course be fact but also maybe just me assuming, as I’m not sure… (my skin starts burning, gets red and irritated and then stings when I use them so who knows!)
Sometimes I get overly worried and panicky.
Sometimes I am confident in myself, others times not so much.
I love Lasagna and cheese more than I should.
I have irrational fear of seals, killer whales and crocodiles.
I love sharks, they’re my fav!
I love going on holiday. (But doesn’t everyone!)
So that’s my little list of facts about me and I hope you liked it, tomorrow will be day 2 which is describing the last place I went on holiday so stick around! 🙂
So it’s been a little while since I last blogged and the last post I had was an opinion based poll to find out which posts are most interesting to all you lovely followers and also which subjects I should post more often on! I thought that I would make a little 15 day blog challenge for my blog because I prefer to make my own and I quite enjoy being creative with it anyway. The main reason I did only 15 days is down to the fact that when I made my 30 day photo challenge I found it immensely hard to post everyday on time and dropped behind now and then cause I just got busy with coursework etc. So I am hoping this one will go better! 🙂 (Fingers crossed!)
You can join in or use this photo for your own blog if you wish just let me know! 🙂 I shall be starting tomorrow! x
So I wanted to do a little post to say a BIG BIG thank you to all my followers! I just spent the last couple of minutes adding up my followers on Bloglovin & WordPress and I now have over 500 followers which is brilliant because I never assumed my blog would get this far, so it’s lovely to know there are people out there who love to read what I have to say or like what I just babble on about!
I started my blog just over a year ago now as my blog hit it’s 1st birthday at the end of March and I am so happy that I took the plunge to start blogging because it really is something I enjoy. I was never sure on whether to start blogging as I am a very shy person and pretty much as introverted as an introvert can get! But blogging has helped me in many ways and I have met some wonderful bloggers along the way 🙂
I shall be doing a giveaway towards the end of the month (April) and I hope that you’ll all be interested in taking part! It’ll be my very first giveaway and I am hoping to make it really cool so stay tuned.
Once again thank you to all my lovely followers! 🙂
Okay so you’ll see things on the internet and stuff telling you all this crazy stuff you’re meant to bring to university with you when you leave home, many shops and retailers take advantage of this and try and push lots of deals on stuff and things onto you as well but from experience I can tell you what you will need as a rough guideline! 🙂
Your bedding – Otherwise you’ll freeze to death when it’s cold at night! Some Universities may already give you bedding so double check before you make your trip.
Your documents – VERY essential, bring passports, driving licenses, bank cards, important letters and details with you. Best idea is to buy a small plastic wallet and store them all in there in case you need them, which you definitely will.
Any sentimental things – Well that was an obvious one right? Unless you want to leave them at home.
Room decorations – University rooms are notoriously plain and bland, soon the walls will drive you mad! Bring some posters, fairy lights, plants (I had a mint plant but it died cause the sun killed it 😦 ) and such to brighten up your room and make you feel more at home and happy. I brought posters, drawings, wall art and a lava lamp 😀
Your clothes, Make-up and other essentials – Another obvious one.
Cutlery, cups and Kitchen ware – Do not assume you’ll need one set just for you because when you make friends or your boyfriend comes round for dinner and they haven’t got anything to eat off of they wont be happy, plus lots of it will probably go missing or get lost as well, always clever to have more than one set. Do not buy anything fancy, you’re going to university no one worries what sort of kitchen ware you have, plus most students take plates and pans from home that their parents do not need anyway. (Most Universities supply a kettle, ironing board and microwave but double check with yours if they do!)
Notepads – It is probably best to run to poundland or 99p store and grab a few lined notepads before you come as they’ll be cheaper do not buy loads assuming you’ll use every page because I doubt you will in the end.
Medical kit – You will need this at some point most likely, stock it with painkillers, bandages, plasters, disinfectant and other little bits in case of emergencies as it is always handy.
An alarm clock – Unless you use your phone like me you will need something to wake you up in the morning for those lectures and seminars!
Laptop – Bring your laptop because obviously you’ll need it for coursework and such plus entertainment 😀
TV – Now some uni’s may not have televisions within your room but they may have a communal TV or none at all in which case you can consider bringing your own but TV licensing will be quite pricey!
Optional things – Such as stereo, xbox and ps3, board games, sport equipment, mp3 players etc.
Do not bring things you wont use or need – they will eventually take up to much space!
I love the thought of travelling and going to different places and cities and I really love it when I log onto my WordPress blog and see that I have hits and followers from many different countries, it’s very exciting and interesting for me! 🙂 So I thought I would share 10 countries that are first on my list of places.
Hope you like 🙂
South Africa – I’ve heard it’s a very beautiful country and I’d like to visit Johannesburg, Durban, Cape town and some of the national parks as well!
America – There is so many places in America I dream of visiting such as New York, Chicago, Brooklyn, Seattle and so many other places. I’ve heard it’s all very beautiful and I love cities especially big ones like London and New York!
Zimbabwe – My partner comes from Zimbabwe so I’d like to visit this country with him as I think it would be special. I’d like to specifically go to Harare and maybe get a chance to visit Victoria falls as well.
Canada – I’d like to visit Ottawa as it looks really nice there and I’d love to go to Montreal and Vancouver as well as I heard you can do lots of activities at Vancouver like whale watching.
Nepal – I would love to visit Nepal because it looks beautiful and very scenic, I’d love to go to Kathmandu specifically.
Switzerland – Switzerland looks like a really beautiful country, I’d like to visit Geneva and The old city of Berne because I’d like to experience some traditional lifestyle and see some picturesque towns and cities.
Finland – Now I have been to Helsinki but I haven’t explored anywhere in detail. But I know Finland is home to some very interesting and beautiful places. I think I’d like to go to Lapland in the North of Finland, explore Helsinki in great depth and see Northern Lights.
Chile – I think it would be really nice to visit Chile, I know there are many things to see and do such as stargazing and I’d like to experience another culture. I think it’s also a very beautiful country with great scenic views.
China – I have been to Japan before but I would like to visit China, specifically Shanghai and the Great wall of China. I’d like to visit places such as the Forbidden city/palace museum and Hangzhou as I’ve heard that’s very beautiful.
Italy – There’s lots of places in Italy I would love to visit, places like Florence, Venice, Milan and Rome especially. There’s so much to see and do and I want to be able to experience historical architecture and appreciate it. I also love to ride on a gondola, see the last supper painting and get to see the Colosseum.
These are just 10 of a long list of places I want to travel to, so if you’re country is not on here be assured it is probably on the full list! 🙂
Okay so the weather here has been relatively sunny, if you’re reading this from abroad I live in United Kingdom in West Yorkshire. I previously lived in North London where sunshine was a common occurrence but moving up north the weather seems more unreliable and more wetter & colder! So lately this past week or so it has been mild and sunny for a change and has given me the chance to bust out some of my favourite Spring and Summer clothes! I decided I would share my outfits for the next three days with you guys because I love them 🙂
My first piece outfit is some beautifully cute dungarees I got from New Look last summer, they are baby blue and white stripes with pink roses on. I personally fell in love with them because it makes a change from the generic plain dungarees that everyone wears and jazzes them up a bit. I think the colours are perfect for Spring and Summer and I usually wear it with a vest or t-shirt underneath! 🙂 My second outfit is based around this really cute flower top, it’s made of this silk like material and is covered in lovely white flowers with go perfectly with the blue. I generally wear this top with a pair of skinny jeans and some accessories to give the easy but classy look 🙂 My final piece is a purple floral vest that I love! I love this vest because it’s perfect for when the weather is getting warmer because the material is so loose fitting and comfortable. It goes well with cardigans, jeans and skirts I’ve found and it’s a nice change from a plain vest.
Well that’s what I am planning to wear the next three days! Hope you liked that little insight 🙂 Follow/Like.
So being an avid clothes lover and fashion conscious girl, my wardrobe is jam packed full of pieces of clothing. I openly admit I do not have enough storage space so much so my partner has to keep some of my clothes in his accommodation as well! & back home in North London before Uni I was in the same situation where I had to many clothes and not enough space. So putting all these clothes to use I thought I’d share my 5 favourite items of clothing in my wardrobe with my faithful followers! 🙂
My dark blue denim skinny jeans – Obvious essential and easy to wear with near enough EVERYTHING.
A red embellished teddy bear jumper I picked up from a vintage fair when I first arrived at University -It’s dead cute!
My Hello Kitty onesie – There is nothing better than coming home from long seminars and snuggling up in it!
A Gok Wan black formal fitted shirt which my mum brought me before I came to Uni – Perfect for the formal/casual classy look.
A new tunic shirt I brought from Dorothy Perkins in the sale – It’s autumn colours are beautiful and it was a bargain! WIN.
