30 day photo challenge – day 18 natural beauty

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven’t posted the 30 day photo challenge in a while (I think I missed like 2/3 days) but that’s because it was my partners birthday over the weekend! Hooray 🙂 not only that but I have a lot of essays due these upcoming weeks and I find it hard to work up the motivation to blog straight after I’ve just finished a long essay! So apologies 🙂

However I’m going to post the missing photos now and that way I would’ve caught up to the right day 🙂

So day 18 is natural beauty! And the photo I have chosen is of a bunch of roses I got on valentines day because roses are incredibly beautiful and completely natural! 🙂

4 Ways To Beat Tired Eyes

Okay so we all have those late nights right? You may have to work night shifts, you may be someone who goes out clubbing every night without fail or maybe you’re just nocturnal to say the least! Whatever the reason we all get tired looking eyes and sometimes this can be a real problem – especially if you have an interview or seminar the next day and don’t want to look as if you’ve been out on a all nighter! So when I get tired eyes there are a few ways that I make sure they disappear and fast! I’m going to share them with you 🙂

  1. Cucumber – I never liked using this before because I didn’t think it would work, that and the fact that I hate the smell of it as well and being  a student I’m not going to waste a pound on a smelly vegetable but I did and I am happy about it because it refreshes my eyes. After reading a glowing article on the magic of the cucumber I went and brought one, cut it and placed it over my eyes and napped for a good 5 hours…Now I’m pretty sure that combination of napping and the cucumber worked because my eyes looked normal and a little healthier afterwards! Plus it was very relaxing.
  2. Garnier Caffeine eye roll-on – Something which I used to use ages ago when I was back at home and my mum had some laying around or in a make up bag. It’s like a caffeine shot for your eyes but a little better I guess. The moisture is nice when applied to the bottom and top of your eyelids and once it soaks in it feels lovely.
  3. Cold Water – Generally when I wake up and feel all icky and sleepy still I love to just splash my face with some ice cold water, it’s refreshing but make sure the water is not to cold no one likes brain freeze!
  4. Eye Drops – Now some people are against these and some are for these but it’s down to personal opinion I guess, I’ve used two different types of eye drops and the first one was nice a small bottle that was mostly purified water but it never really changed the redness of my tired eyes however the second one I used is also a small bottle but its got salt in it and stings, however this one clears the redness from my eyes. So when picking one just make sure its legit.

New apartment, Late fast food and A lost delivery man.

So I am blogging late again today, which is not a habit that I want to get into as I quite like blogging early as it clears up the rest of the evening for me to do whatever I want and to relax 🙂 So I need to break this habit and I will – Promise! 🙂

Again to no surprise I got no sleep last night, my room is like the arctic and my flatmate was persistent in staying up till the early hours of the morning playing loud movies in his room. I cant wait until July when me and my partner move into our new apartment for our 2nd year at uni, it’s perfect and in the ideal location – win! There are many advantages to getting your own place in 2nd year that I’m really looking forward to and that’s:

  • Not having to clean up after lazy people.
  • Being able to use the oven when and for as long as I want to (Means more cakes I can bake!)
  • No awkward encounters with people when going to the communal areas.
  • More privacy.
  • No more loud parties or drunken people waking us all up at like 6 am (I know I’m a student but there’s limits!)
  • Feeling like an adult! 😀

Well so now you know I’m rather excited to get into our apartment but it’s quite a wait still for the time being, so i’ll update you closer to the time! Anyway tonight we ordered some take away with the remainder of my £10 lottery win and it was 2 hours late!! after about four phone calls to the shop they explained it was because the drivers phone died so he returned to the shop to charge it (WHAT?!) and then the driver rung us and said he was lost…LOST?! We have the clearest sign right outside the gate…but anyway the food was ice cold and we said we wasn’t going to pay the full price and he said that’s fine but then conned us out of our money anyway and said he had no change so we had to pay full price – Lesson learned.

Other than that my days been not to bad; I got to write some new articles for two amazing websites, had a long nice long distance phone conversation with my sister and niece and caught up on Hollyoaks and my other favourite soaps!
