So for this little post I thought that I would sum up the beginning of this month & last month in a little collage because it’s cute,
I love to see little collages on other’s blogs because I like to see the little photo’s they choose and what they represent!
So from top left going right we have 1. Me in glasses! I went to the opticians and I found out I need glasses for reading 2. Me and my partner went for a walk around the local park and he brought me a portion of traditional chips (The kind you get at the seaside! which I love love love!) so that was super nice 3. A really lovely quote that I need to start listening to because I worry to much over the past and to much over the future 4. A little photo of me and my partner messing around 5. A photo of a ladybird I took whilst I was walking home 6. Daffodils! I love them especially because they’re all in bloom this time of year 7. A photo from my partner’s 20th birthday! 8. Another little picture of the park (Excuse the watermark, I’m working on it!) that we walk around sometimes for a nice break of fresh air and finally 9. NANDO’S! we went to nando’s for my partners birthday and it was amazing as usual, I really love nando’s particularly the chicken wrap! 🙂
So that’s my little update, how have you all been? Is there anything you like specifically in this post then let me know in the comments 🙂
So I was thinking how much the media only really ever concentrates on Western style and fashion when in fact there are some amazingly beautiful cultural pieces from around the world that I think should be appreciated more and deserve the time to be on my post.
In many different countries there are special or religious pieces of clothing that have a significant meaning behind them and in some countries they dress in certain pieces of clothing as part of their cultural identity which I believe we should see more with regards to fashion instead of it just being Western dominated, so without further ado here is my little blog post on some beautiful cultural fashion I found on the internet 🙂 I found some of these great photo’s from a really lovely blog called http://universalbeauty.tumblr.com/ which I recommend taking a look at as well!
I love all these pieces of clothing featured in these photos, each item is special or beautiful in many ways and I love the colourful and pretty designs as well – Hope you like them tool! 🙂
Disclosure: This blog post was not meant to cause offense and I hope it hasn’t, it was purely made to spread appreciation of worldwide cultural fashion 🙂
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that visits and follows my blog and my little updates! I just wanted to share with everyone that I have very nearly gained 500 hits which is wonderful considering I started up my blog the end of March and I am very thankful for all the likes, follows and subscribers too from all around the world which is lovely of course 🙂
I will be available to follow via more networking sites soon, at the moment I have a twitter icon on my page that you can follow me on, I am setting up a Facebook blog page and a Pinterest as well so that all should be done soon! Once that’s sorted in the future I will be sorting out giveaways and such things and new content so enjoy! Also Enjoy the little photo of a kitten smiling! 😀
So last night I watched The Life Of Pi, anyone who has read my previous posts and my about me section will know I absolutely love movies! So since last night I watched the film and I decided to do a little review on it, it’ll only be small because as we all know it came out last year so it’s not new but I’m doing it for the people who may not have seen it! 🙂
Okay so the introduction into the story was good and smooth but perhaps took a little too long to get into the actual story of things, which for some people can be a problem as they become disinterested! but if you give it a chance and persevere then the story itself is quite cool as it goes along. One of the things I didn’t like is that the trailer made the film out to be magical which is was but there was a lot of gore and emotional parts to it as well, something which touched a nerve (as the saying goes) when I watched it. There were parts where I felt happy and enjoyed it but the beginning itself of the actual story and some parts throughout were really quite shocking in my opinion, some parts of the story as well skipped itself I believe like at one point there was a shark circling Pi on a tiny raft and then it skipped to him on a boat and the shark no where around…
Overall the story itself is a little bit crazy (Meerkats randomly on an island in the ocean that no one has ever heard of or seen?) but I guess that’s part of the whole magical experience that Pi went through, it’s more of a story about Pi finding belief than anything – which is nice. So in all don’t judge the film till you see it, it’s more adventurous and dramatic than you probably think! 🙂
A while ago (roughly 2 years ago) I started writing a bucket list of things I want to do, being ambitious and someone who loves new things and adventures my list has some pretty crazy things on it, but also some very cool easy going things that I wanted to do and try as well! My list is phenomenally long going into the hundreds so I thought I’d share 15 random things that are on it! 🙂
Swim with sharks – I genuinely really want to do this more than anything, I love sharks they’re my favourite animal and I know an incredible useless amount of knowledge on them as well but I think they’re great because they’re fierce and beautiful at the same time. I think to start with I want to swim with sharks in an aquarium as I’m quite scared of the sea, but if I get over that fear then I’d like to swim with some different types of shark in the ocean as well, maybe Black tip reef sharks and whale sharks 🙂
Ride on an Elephant – I would love to ride on an Elephant, they’re so big and quite cute and I’d love to have a photo taken with one!
Go Skydiving – It would be undeniably scary but that’s part of the thrill I guess, plus you’d see some killer views on the way down which would be something unforgettable!
See Northern Lights – I know lots of people who want to do this as well, I think this would be amazing and a beautiful experience which I’d treasure.
Make 1000 Origami Cranes – There is a Japanese legend that whoever makes 1000 origami cranes will be granted a wish, this is something I’d love to do as I learnt how to make origami cranes really well, its just it would take a crazy amount of time!
Experience Holi or a colour festival – Holi is a festival celebrated mainly in India or Nepal and a colour festival is celebrated in South Africa Durban, I’d love to go to one of these events the powders looks so colourful and bright I think it would be amazing.
Go to a fashion show – I’d love to go to a big worldwide fashion show in one of the major cities this would be amazing to see the catwalks and designers as well as the upcoming latest styles.
Hold a bird of prey – Not many people wish to hold a bird of prey but I’m a little different, I love animals and I love to admire their beauty and birds of prey like Eagles are much like sharks in the sense that they are fierce but also beautiful.
Swim with Manta rays – I think manta rays are really incredible, I love how smooth and calm they are and I think it would be an unforgettable experience to swim with them.
Travel everywhere on my travel list – This is a big one that wont be completed for a long time, but will eventually be completed because I love travelling and aim to finish my list 🙂
Well that’s ten random things from my bucket list! Hope you enjoyed!
