My Favourite Summer/Autumn Trends

So this year there is set to be some really intriguing and adventurous trends to walk the catwalk and pave a pathway into our hearts. With this in mind I have seen some key trends already within magazines such as Vogue and ELLE and I thought that I would mention my favourite picks from this years Summer and Autumn’s trends to come since there are some real fantastic pieces! 🙂

Bare: Nude and bare colours are a big trend this Summer and Autumn, these light hue’s are a perfect season colour for any piece of clothing or accessory especially shoes such as heels and flat pumps and this is because they make your legs look longer, something which many women wish for! So if that sounds like you then grab yourself a pair of nude heels and watch the compliments flow in.

Oriental Infusion: Recently on the catwalk there has been an influx of oriental infused designs and trends sweeping through the fashion world, from china patterns to delicate embroidery and origami cuts, this overall trend is so elegant and colourful it makes a definite favourite for Summer and Autumn.

1920’s: Gatsby has been more than a cinema hit, it has been a worldwide global phenomenon passing the 1920’s style around and capturing the hearts of many. Que the mass of 1920’s flapper dresses, glitzy accessories and an influx of pearls and embroidery!

Geometric: Geometric shapes and cuts are a big trend this year in Summer and Autumn, colourful and bold they make a strong confident statement in pieces of our favourite clothing. Plus they give great shape to all your assets in the best places!

Leather: Leather has been a big trend for a long while now, capturing our attention a couple of months back and still managing to contain our attention leather has been a contagious fashion trend. Leggings, tops and dresses all are some of our favourite pieces which come in leather and one of the best things about the material? It’s figure hugging which means it accentuates your curves and other assets.

Hope you enjoyed! 🙂

Upstaged Vintage In Leeds Photo Shoot Pictures

So a while ago I did a review on a shop I really loved in Leeds called Upstaged Vintage, the shop has clothes from decades past and stocks some really unique and colourful items.
In return for my review on their shop the owner asked me if I would like to have some complimentary photo’s done as a thank you and also to go on their shop website, I of course agreed happily! So on Friday just before I came home I went and had them done, I chose three outfits and these were the pictures – very happy with them! 🙂

Summer Favourite: Sweet Pastels

This Summer there are many trends to be released and I thought I would focus on one specific one – Pastels. Pastels make some of the best colours for outfits because of the sweet innocent hues that are used, and it will be big this Summer! So I thought that I would show you guys some of the best pastel pieces that will be around! 🙂

Baby pink, powder blue, sweet honey yellow, mint green and summer orange are all big hits this Summer and I love them! They look so beautiful as an outfit or as an accessory and I think it gives the right impression of Summer, something sweet and playful.

Who Says Maternity Wear Can’t Be Fashionable?

Okay I am not pregnant but I have noticed a lot of people explaining that they cannot find anything fashionable to wear whilst pregnant, however this is not true as there are many colourful and beautiful pieces out there for mothers to be to wear! I am writing this post for my sister in law in Japan who is expecting my to be niece or nephew! I know she likes to read my blog posts and has said she loves fashion as well so I thought I would write a special maternity post 🙂

Expecting a child is beautiful and you should feel beautiful too whilst you are expecting! If you love fashion then there is tons of options, such as the midi dress it comes in all shapes and sizes which is perfect because most retailers do special maternity midi dresses that still accentuate your bodies curves and are not to restrictive on your little baby bump. Also a great buy is loose fitting blouses and shirts which show elegance and beauty whilst still being comfortable.

As well as this tunics are often a good choice pick for mothers to be as they are flattering and come in a range of patterns and colours as well as being comfortable and easy to wear. When you’re expecting you want maximum comfort with a splash of fashion to make the perfect outfit if you love fashion and these two examples are great to go by! I personally would not wear high heels if you are quite heavily pregnant as I would swap them for comfy fashionable flat pumps or canvas shoes 🙂
