A MASSIVE THANK YOU – 10,000 BLOG HITS

Image

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all my followers! My blog as of today has hit the enormous amount of 10,000 hits! Hooray!

When I first started my blog I never imagined anyone would be interested in what I had to say or wanted to talk about but I have seen how wrong I am, the blogging community on WordPress, Blogger, Twitter, Facebook, Bloglovin and Better Blogging Network have all been such lovely people and I’ve made some super blogging friends as well! 🙂

My blog’s birthday is near which will be another wonderful milestone! On March 29th my blog will be 1 year old and I am looking forward to that a lot!

So because I reached 10,000 hits on my blog and gained so many followers as well as having my blog’s birthday soon I will be doing a giveaway on April 29th to celebrate everything! 🙂

Thank you once again!

30 Day Photo Challenge- DAY 1 NATURE

Hey everyone! Sorry I didn’t get a chance to upload my first picture of my photo challenge yesterday it’s because it was my nieces birthday! So I spent yesterday on the train and celebrating with my whole family 🙂

But this is my day 1 photo for nature and I took it Friday evening, I thought it would make a good nature shot for my challenge because the tree looks so gigantic and quite symbolic in the growing darkness of the night and also it shows that even if you live in a big city you can still find nature if you look around enough so I thought it was a nice photo.

My day 2 photo for today is FOOD and will be uploaded tonight! 🙂

Saturday Blogger Interviews – Georgia Hathaway

Name: Georgia Hathaway
Location: South Wales but I visit London quite often.
Age: 23 (24 in September!)
Twitter: @GeorgiaHathaway
What sort of things do you blog about most:
I concentrate on fashion: news, culture, supermodels, style icons, trends, looks, outfits, brands I like…there’s always lots to post about!
Name three words to describe your blog:
Informative, light-hearted
When did you first start blogging: November 2012
Why did you begin to blog:  After years of writing my own fashion articles for fun, working in retail, style spotting everywhere I go, writing fashion features for my college/university magazines, interning at any newspaper/magazine who would have me, contributing blog posts to a local online fashion boutique and yearning to write about clothes for a living, I decided to take the plunge and create Fashion Oyster!
What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers: Don’t compare your blog to anyone else’s!
Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time: Definitely! I love writing- I can’t imagine not doing it!
What’s one of the best things about being a blogger: The freedom to write what you want and being recognised for your writing!
Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way: It’s certainly opened doors for me- I was shortlisted for a Company Magazine Style Blogger Award earlier this year and I get several invites for fashion events/press days, which is a nice bonus.
Name one thing that inspires you: Magazine interns who work hard and get where they want to be- they give me so much hope for the future!
Share one of your favourite quotes: “Behind every success is effort, behind every effort is passion, behind every passion is someone with the courage to try.”- Victoria Beckham

Saturday Blogger Interviews – Blogger Amyloo

Image

Name: Amyloo

Location: Oxfordshire (UK)

Age: 17 (Almost 18!)

Blog link: http://amyloosworld.blogspot.co.uk

Facebook/Twitter: https://www.facebook.com/AmyMaddisonFineArtist & https://twitter.com/AmyloosTweets

What three things do you blog about most: I mainly write about art, books and beauty. But I have many passions so I always make room for fashion, lifestyle and music related posts to. (I like to call it ‘The home of creativity’).

Name three words to describe your blog: Creative, inspirational and fun!

When did you first start blogging: I first started blogging just over a month ago (sometime in April) and I’m so glad I did!

Why did you begin to blog: You could say up until the point I first started blogging, my life hadn’t turned out quite how I’d envisioned. I needed a rather large distraction, a place where I could sit back, relax and be myself. As a child I was an incredibly enthusiastic writer, so I was a little shocked that blogging had never occurred to me before. On top of that I was also looking to build meaningful relationships with other bloggers (that’s you guys *cough* Mary *cough*). Overall though its my passions that formed ‘AmyloosWorld’.

What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers: I would say never ignore the other wonderful bloggers around you. We shouldn’t forget we’re all in the same boat here. Each and every one of us have something to share in the blogosphere, so just be selfless and help anybody in need of it (in any possible way that you can). You’ll meet some amazing people and maybe even build life-long friendships; in turn they’ll give you the love and support you need to make your blog a success. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time: (Is this a trick question?) OF COURSE! Writing comes naturally to me; I don’t think it will ever just disappear. I enjoy every second and want it to last forever! (Don’t you?).

What’s one of the best things about being a blogger: Doing what I love is extremely important to me; it keeps me excited and content (you have this duty that was never there before, and you want to fulfil it). On a more personal note, the best thing to happen so far to me as a blogger is meeting Mary and completing my first commission. I have to give her all the credit for interviewing me and promoting my work on her blog (cheers to Mary!). I also love the rush of happiness you get when someone new starts following. It’s heart-warming to know that people love reading what I write (a few years ago I would have laughed in my own face).

Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way: It’s helped me feel much more confident about my appearance and my sense of style. All of a sudden I’ve grasped who I really am (something I was previously unsure of). It’s certainly changed my life for the better. Even though I can’t predict the future, this journey of self-discovery is definitely worth the time spent.
