30 Day Photo Challenge – DAY 16 A BOOK

So day 16 is a book and I thought that I would take a little picture of my first aid book because like I said in a previous post I want to be able to learn first aid by the end of this year, I’m hoping to do a course later on this year to gain a certificate to say I know first aid properly but reading this book helps and gives me a head start. Further to this my dad actually loaned it to me so it means a lot in some senses πŸ™‚

EYEBROWS – Waxing or Threading?

So this is a post I talked about when I first started blogging back last year and I am coming back to it because I have a different view on it now, back last year in my post I actually contemplated whether waxing or threading was better having only ever threaded my eyebrows (Terrible judgement I know!) and I went on what others had told me about waxing.

Now it is safe to say I have tried and tested both out, after being frightfully scared of waxing my eyebrows I finally bit the biscuit and had Benefit wax my brows for me for the first time before I was set to go on holiday. Now I have had my eyebrows threaded since I started to become to lazy to tweeze them (Who wants that long enduring pain and arm ache?) and have been having them threaded for at least 3 years now if not more, however Benefit were doing a tint and wax for Β£18 so I decided to go for that as my holiday was a day away and I wanted some well shaped brows to accompany me.

So you are all wondering, how did it go right?…

Well I was nervous, I didn’t have much leg room and there was two other floor staff watching the woman wax my eyebrows because they were not as busy when I went in so at first it was awkward. Once I was settled in properly and no one else was watching (The bystanders just wandered off)Β I was more relaxed & happy, the wax itself wasn’t too hot and the actual procedure of ripping the wax strips off my eyebrows was not to bad! It hurt for like 3 seconds and then it was over (Relief!)Β

Now you are all asking threading or waxing?….

Well threading is a longer procedure sometimes, it is painful to many people but to some it is relatively painless just remember you have to sit in a chair for roughly 5+ minutes without fidgeting otherwise you may accidentally lose an eyebrow! Β It does however look lovely afterwards and up keep is a little easier as the hairs do not grow back so quickly and it’s always relatively cheap!

Waxing is a little painful but in my opinion not more painful than threading. It also looks lovely afterwards but waxing is always a little more expensive than threading because of the equipment used, also waxing can sometimes be a little harsher on sensitive skin because the wax has direct skin contact.

Comment and let me know your preferred method! πŸ™‚

30 Day Photo Challenge – DAY 7 THE SKY

So today is day seven and I am posting on time (wooo!) and today was ‘The Sky’ which was an awful coincidence because the weather today was appalling – cold, wet, rainy and cloudy! However luckily on my way home I saw the best skyline which I thought deserved to take pride of place in the 30 day challenge as day 7 and that’s because the skyline was moving into the evening and this meant that the sky was a beautiful tangerine colour and I just had to snap that up! πŸ™‚

30 Day Photo Challenge – DAY 4 PET/ANIMAL

I was meant to post this yesterday however I had a ton of uni work to do first and then I fell asleep so sorry for posting a day late! But my picture is one I took of my fish, they are white mountain minnows and a zebra danio, the picture isn’t so clear because it was hard as they are so so so tiny! But they’re super cute πŸ™‚

I’ve had pets before but sadly I do not have any photos of them to share 😦 but I’ll always remember them πŸ™‚

Anyway here are my fishies & today’s photo is FLOWERS DAY 5 so that’ll be up tonight πŸ™‚

30 Day Photo Challenge – DAY 3 TECHNOLOGY

Hey everyone!

I just want to firstly say a massive thank you to the recent new followers, the followers who have been there from the beginning and the ones who joined along the way! Your support for my growing blog has been immense and I am so grateful there are people who appreciate what I write & enjoy looking at my blog πŸ™‚

I have received many comments over the past few days and they have all been so lovely! So thank you and please keep it up because I love to hear what you all think and if you’re enjoying it πŸ™‚

Anyway moving on! Yesterday was day 3 of the photo challenge, I didn’t get to upload this yesterday because for some reason my WordPress wouldn’t load! But success because today it did and I am here writing this post! πŸ™‚ So choosing something that represents technology was tough because I didn’t want to go for the cliche things but after much deliberation I decided that the best photo is my iPhone background.

My iPhone is something I use everyday, I think to me it represents that technology has come so far considering the past that now everyone can have a piece of a growing industry themselves, not only this but I think it represents the amount of people that are technologically advanced nowadays and the growth in consumerism.

Well hope you enjoyed my 3rd photo, day 4 will be up tonight and it’s a pet/animal!
