What three things do you blog about most: I’m talking about fashion: inspirations, street style looks, new brands, … about music and travelling.
Name three words to describe your blog: Honest, young and different

When did you first start blogging: I created my blog in September but since January ’13 I’m really busy with it.

Why did you begin to blog: Of course because I’m always been interested in fashion, since last year I’m done with my fashion education but I still wanted to do something with fashion so then the most important reason came up: I’m 19 years old and I don’t have a designer budget. Most bloggers talk about high fashion brands and I want to show people that you can look good even if your budget is not that high. Fashion can be fun for everyone because you have many options and I like it to show people new things; ‘See things through my glasses’.
What’s one blogging tip that you would share with other potential bloggers: Be yourself, talk about the things you like and your interests. Be honest and kind because you can learn a lot of other bloggers/people.

Do you see yourself still blogging in three/five years time: Yes, I hope so! It takes time too reach something with a fashion blog.

What’s one of the best things about being a blogger: You get the chance to know many people. It takes you to many different places and that’s really one of the best things.

Has blogging helped you significantly in any other way: My English is way better then before and I get to know new products and people that I didn’t know yet.

My Travels to Belgium, Helsinki, Ibiza and Japan.

So I thought I’d write a little piece on some places I have been before because as you know I love travelling! I intend to travel a lot more when I finish University and get a decent stable career to fund my travels. I think my main purpose of travelling is the fact that I want to see the world, I love learning and experiencing different cultures and seeing famous buildings and monuments. All of this excites me! I haven’t been to loads of places because I only got my passport in my teenage years and so I have only been to a few places but that was enough for me to realise I love travelling, I love the excitement of getting to the airport, seeing the planes, the take off and landings, the butterflies in your stomach when you know you’re in the air finally and them little meals you get on board!

So with that in mind I thought I would share with you the few places I have been before up until now.

Belgium – This was a school trip to Ypres in Belgium. We went as a history class to visit the battlefields, museums and Menin gate, we actually only went for one day so it was a pretty long day as we had to get a ferry there and back (My first time on a ferry). Because it was my first time on a ferry I had no idea what to expect, I’m petrified of the sea (well going in it! I still think it’s beautiful though) and I was worried the whole way that the ferry would sink. I think I even googled it the night before we went how to survive if a ferry sinks! Silly me! Anyway the whole trip was alright and we got to visit some great historic places and at the end we were allowed to go into one of Belgium’s best chocolate shops 🙂

Ibiza – This was a birthday present trip from my parents for my 16th Birthday. It was the first time I ever stepped foot on a plane and I loved it! My dad ordered us food for the journey and I was so excited, they had planned it so we left two days before my birthday so I turned 16 when I was out there. We went to an all inclusive resort called Palladium Palace in Playa Den Bossa and was right on the beach! With two massive outdoor pools, food 24-7 and comfortable rooms I was in paradise! I’m a big nature person so when we got to Ibiza I was so thrilled to be able to see little lizards up so close and other exotic animals and birds – Even saw Flamingos! We toured round most of the island and went to Las Salinas (Well known celebrity hot spot with a beautifully stunning beach) we also went to Santa Eulalia, Portinatx and other great towns 🙂

Helsinki – On the way to Japan (I’m getting to that after this!) We stopped briefly in Helsinki and I loved the fact it is the home of the moomin, everything I saw to buy was moomin based and it was adorable! But Helsinki was also very beautiful and natural as well with very polite people.

Japan – So in 2011 I went to Japan to visit my brother who lives there, I was a bit nervous about this journey as it was 16 hours long with only an hour stop meaning this was the longest journey I will probably ever go on… I was excited though to see my brother and experience Japanese culture for a week. When we boarded the plane we got bottle of water, pillows, blankets, headphones and eye masks for the long journey ahead of us. The journey actually was quite fun but tedious in places, I stayed up most of time just listening to music from all around the world on the in seat computer and thinking, we got there early in the morning and the time difference made me slightly jet lagged so when we got to my brothers apartment we slept for a few hours and then we all went out so my brother could show us his local area – Nagoya. He showed us some really beautiful temples and shrines, wildlife and views from the city. The next couple of days was spent touring areas, shrines, temples and shops of Japan, which was awesome! We went to Nagoya, Kyoto, Sakai and various other cities, but I think my favourite place was the Kiyomizudera Temple in Kyoto it was beautiful to say the least! I loved this place especially because I got to have a go at the Otowa waterfall where there is three streams of water and you get given a cup on a long stick and you choose to drink out of one of the fountains, each has a different benefit (Love, Success in school or Longevity I believe) but I loved this temple and all the other little parts of it because it was set in the beautiful mountain side with amazing views.

All in all this is a little bit on my travels and in the future I hope to add some more ! 🙂 (Photos from Japan below, Sadly I lost most of them from Ibiza, Helsinki and Belgium 😦 But there is two from Ibiza but they’re terrible quality! But all photos are mine)

Family Visit #2, Scorpion candy and a lot of walking!

So again I didn’t sleep very well last night and I had an early morning start as my parents were visiting which meant I was completely shattered and in zombie mode, but despite this I was extra excited to see my parents because I haven’t seen them in a few months since I got back to Uni. This was the best visit ever as I’ve really felt a bit exhausted lately and this was the pick me up that I needed- so smiles all round! 🙂

We spent the day venturing through Leeds, we started out by having breakfast in Becketts Bank (Wetherspoons) and all ordered the standard traditional fry up! It was pretty tasty, so with my tummy filled we went to the new Trinity shopping centre (a second day trip here in a row for me) and I showed them all the new and vibrant shops that were attracting Leeds residents by the dozens! Despite the odd scramble for the escalators it seemed to be busy but alright. My parents haven’t really ever had the chance to roam around Leeds so I took this opportunity to show them all around, the walking has literally killed my feet but it was worth it! One place we went to was the Corn Exchange and I got to show them the restaurant I used to work at previously, then we made our way towards the market gazing into all the different shop windows as well strolled. The weather was not as bad as yesterday still horribly cold but least there was sunshine so I guess every cloud has a silver lining.

One interesting shop we came across that I only discovered today as well was ‘Culture Vulture’ a cute little shop that sells all unique and creative clothing, things like Adventure Time jumpers and Moomin teddies, retro bags, arcade game belt buckles and hand made unique jewelry, in one of the pictures below you’ll see a really adorable looking tote bag I saw in there that says ‘Pugs not Drugs’ with a little pug on it! So productively moving on with our day we went to another american sweet shop but this one had real dead scorpions in lolly pops (Slightly cruel?) But I think I know what I’m going back to buy tomorrow…(Just so everyone knows, you don’t eat the scorpion inside! haha)

I got a really cute Hello Kitty onesie today as well, my room always being similar to the Arctic is no natural habitat for me so I got a snuggly onesie so I don’t catch a cold! But we ended the day with a nice dinner out where I got a really nice cheesy lasagna (a personal favourite) but I got more of the plate than I did actual food because the portion size was something resembling a child’s school dinner! So my parents being lovely let me order a excellent Belgium waffle with ice cream and a tangy fruit compote- so I was over the moon as I love food!
So all in all it was a really lovely day 🙂
